"This is... insane!" he muttered, barely able to contain his excitement.
"If it already improved this much from one weak dagger, how powerful will it become if I keep feeding it? What if it evolves into a legendary weapon... or even a divine-grade one?"
The idea sent a thrill up his spine. With stars in his eyes, he stood up and said:

He raced across town toward the blacksmith shop run by Mason's family. Mason was a well-known chubby craftsman in the area, but more importantly, he wasn't the judgmental type.
Lucas figured he'd rather give Mason's family his business than deal with people who thought he was a hopeless loser.
After spending a few thousand credits, he returned home with five more Level 1 whiteboard daggers and a very puzzled look from Mason's dad.
Once inside, Lucas got to work.
