Suddenly, Liebe could sense Lilith's mana outside the door. He quietly walked toward it, then called out,"Everyone! Since we're all having fun already, why don't we take a break today and have a water gun fight?"
He knew how much Lilith loved water gun fights herself.
As Lilith leaned against the door, planning to leave, Liebe smirked — a plan forming in his mind.
Inside, everyone shouted, "Yeah, Captain, let's do it!"
Liebe added, "And everyone, remember — water magic users can't use magic. Just their guns!"
Licht squinted. "Why are you suddenly dead serious… and proposing a water gun fight?"
Liebe drew his swords in one swift motion and slashed the hinges off the door. Lilith, who had been leaning on it from outside, fell straight in with a surprised yelp.
Liebe grinned. "And as a surprise, the Captain is also joining us!"
Gelda crossed her arms. "You planned this before we even set up the surprise, didn't you?"
"Of course it was planned," Liebe said. "You idiots really think there's a chance in hell my mother would miss my birthday?"
Licht, seeing through Liebe's bluff, realized it was pure coincidence — but decided not to say anything.
Lilith brushed herself off and said, "I would've joined, but I have matters at home."
Liebe smiled slyly. "No need to be shy, ma'am. We all know why you're here. Besides… we're offering ten chocolate tarts from Yummy Tummy to the winner."
Hearing that, Lilith froze. The temptation was too strong."Fine," she said. "Then I'll show you all how water guns are really used."
Licht whispered to Alysa, "Damn… no wonder they're sending Liebe for negotiations. He's one hell of a delegate."
Alysa chuckled. "Yeah… at this point, it's scary."
And with that, the chaotic water gun war began.
In the middle of the fun, a knight quietly approached Liebe and whispered,"Sir, there were minor explosions throughout our territory."
Liebe's expression turned sharp."Tell the divisional commanders to start putting out the flames. Arrest everyone involved in the explosions for cross-examination. Those who're clean, let them go. Anyone whose stories don't match — detain them. Double-check every background. Got it?"
"Yes, sir," the knight said and hurried off.
"Lord, is there a problem?" Gelda asked.
"Yeah," Liebe said — then quickly turned his water gun and blasted her. "You're wide open!"
"Ah! I'm down!" Gelda shouted, laughing.
"Elizabeth, you're next!" Liebe called. "Licht, Alysa — take the flank!"
The fight went on until only Licht and Liebe stood against Lilith and Stal.
When the last shot was fired, Lilith stood victorious, soaked but grinning.
Liebe chuckled. "Looks like the competition's over. It's my pleasure to declare the winner — Lilith Faust! And as acting captain, congratulations! Here are your ten chocolate tarts!"
Everyone cheered as they took a group picture.
But the moment of joy ended abruptly when a knight burst through the entrance, panting."Acting Captain—there's trouble! We're under attack! All of our divisional branches—!"
