Several events were happening simultaneously, their beginning marked by the appearance of a rocky mountain in the forest.
At the clearing where the Pussycats were fighting Mange's Quirk Amplified Clone and Spinner, the shockwave and earthquake had given the exact window the students had been looking for.
Ojiro and Mineta bolted toward the campsite, while Midoriya blasted toward Kota's hideout.
Seeing the students safely leave the battlefield, Ragdoll dashed toward the Horror House path as well, using Search to accurately determine where each student was and their current state.
In the forest, most Class 1-B's students had already succumbed to the poisonous gas, losing consciousness. Because they had been hiding themselves, holed up in one place, by the time they had noticed the gas, it had already been too late.
Among the Class 1-A students, the earlier groups had been walking on a set path, with no trees in their surroundings blocking their vision, though.
Sensing the nature of the gas, Momo had created gas masks instantly. By the time the mountain landed, she had already given the gas masks to all the students she met on the path, including Yuga, who was her partner. However, because of the three-minute interval between the two groups, when she found Kyoka and Toru, they had already lost consciousness.
Meanwhile, Tetsutetsu and Kendo, two Class 1-B students, decided to go after the source of the gas itself. The shockwave had cleared the forest of the gas, but it returned even faster, as if the Villain had prepared for this event.
The shockwave also sent Tenya and Bakugo rolling down the path, a light sheet of gas rolling over them. Even before they could gasp at the mountain, though, their eyes landed on a Villain's silhouette, kneeling on the ground with a… mutilated hand pressed against the earth.
Uraraka and Tsuyu had already been running back to the campsite after hearing Mandalay's telepathic announcement regarding Villains. As they had just entered the forest, the gas hadn't reached them. The shockwave broke their momentum, though, making the two girls lose their footing. By the time they stood up again, a Villain had already appeared next to them, thirsting for their blood.
Despite the students' precarious situation, they weren't the ones in the most trouble in the forest.
The appearance of the mountain, followed by the shockwave and earthquake, failed to faze Rabbit Hero: Mirko, who was having the time of her life.
Muscular's Quirk Amplified Clone had gained so much muscle mass that his head now towered as high as a tree's canopy. Each of his arms was thicker than the thickest tree in the forest. His entire figure looked like a big mansion made of muscles, his every step quaking the earth.
Mirko blurred around him, chipping away those muscles.
But it became clear that no matter how fast she attacked him, or how much power she used, the walking mountain of muscles couldn't be stopped.
And that realization made Mirko… even happier.
Unlike her, Gran Torino was having the worst time of his life, getting chased by Spinner's Quirk Amplified Clone.
At first, he had thought of going to the campsite.
After the appearance of the mountain, he knew better, deciding to keep this Nomu-like monster as far from the students as possible.
Now, Gran Torino was shooting like a missile in one direction, away from the students. Also, the Villain chasing him seemed to have lost reason as well, roaring like a madman.
It was good… only for now.
Because Gran Torino was getting slower, and the Villain… was showing no sign of tiredness.
Among all these events, there was one that could have lost its value because of the presence of only one person, with no sight of gas or Villain nearby.
However, the identity and status of this person made the entire event as crucial as the rest.
…
After the shockwave was done with him, Mirio Togata, Comedy Hero: Lemillion, dusted himself off, noticing the thin layer of gas.
Sniffing, Lemillion scrunched his nose, instantly realizing not only its nature, but also calculating from which direction it had come.
"Deku and Pussycats can handle those two Villains," Mirio contemplated, holding his chin. "The students on the path are in danger the most… Hmm…"
Nodding and coming to a swift decision, Lemillion fell right into the earth.
Far away from him, Tetsutetsu and Kendo had already found the Villain, Mustard, who had been secreting poisonous gas.
As Mustard could sense the people approaching him through the fluctuations they created in the gas, he was already prepared.
When Tetsutetsu reached him, the Villain, surprisingly, took out a gun and fired right at the boy's head.
Bang!
Behind Tetsutetsu, Kendo's face paled as the sound echoed.
"Oh… you are one of those hard-skinned ones, aren't you?" Mustard said, noticing the bullet only knocking the boy's head aside, instead of killing him. "Still. How long can you…"
"Worry not, campers!" someone said.
Mustard spun fast, a chill running down his spine.
But, other than the coils of gas, he couldn't find anyone.
"Why?" the same voice echoed.
Mustard again spun around, but found nothing.
Neither could he feel a fluctuation, nor could he see anyone.
"Who's there?!" the Villain shouted, pointing his gun. "You dare…"
"Ahhhhhhh!" Tetsutetsu charged at Mustard.
Bang!
The bullet hit the boy's chest and sent him rolling back.
"Because I am here!" The words entered right into the Villain's ears.
"Die! Die! Die!" Mustard shouted like a maniac and was about to fire the gun randomly when a fist appeared in his vision, coming at him like a bullet.
Teeth and jaw shattered.
Mustard's figure was sent flying, doing acrobatics midair.
And in his place stood Lemillion, blowing on his fist, grinning at Kendo and Tetsutetsu. "Power!"
"Senior!" Kendo smiled cheerily, rushing toward the Pro.
Tetsutetsu rubbed his head as the gas began thinning out around him. "I had the guy…" he complained, getting up.
"Haha!" The Pro Hero laughed. "Alright, let's go back to…"
Mirio's eyes suddenly landed on the Villain, making him control his tongue.
Mustard was out cold, with a big red and blue fist impression on his face. But, from his pocket, a photo had slipped out, showing a UA student in uniform.
Lemillion walked up to Mustard and pulled the photo out.
And the moment he saw who the student was… his pupils shook, all smiles vanishing from his face!
