The End of Time
Deep within the castle, silence reigned—it was terrifying.
Kang the Conqueror, the last one remaining at the end of time, sat behind his desk with a dark expression.
Miss Minutes, radiating a faint orange glow, stood on the table with a nervous look on her face.
She was mainly responsible for the failure of this mission.
After all, the Time Pad was locked. If it hadn't been disabled, that special time offender wouldn't have escaped.
Seeing that Kang was still silent, she cautiously suggested:
"Maybe we should let Paradox contact the time offenders in the Void? I've always known he was conducting shady deals behind the scenes…"
Though Paradox had just died, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) could clone those time supervisors at will. Just like the Minutemen—they were all expendable.
Kang raised his head and coldly said:
"Do it."
"We must capture him. No matter the cost."
At this moment, he deeply regretted his previous inaction.
At first, he didn't care when the Chief Judge submitted a report about the anomaly. But later, he realized his "script engine" couldn't see that man's future.
That was impossible. Every living being across all timelines should be traceable.
At first, the offender was just an ordinary human—so why did he suddenly erupt with Extremis powers and escape to the Void with such purpose?
He had known the pruning baton wouldn't kill him.
There was definitely a secret behind this!
The more Kang thought about it, the more he regretted it.
A single misstep had now thrown the future into uncertainty.
He should have brought him directly to the End of Time from the beginning.
No one can stir chaos in front of me!
Kang glared at Miss Minutes and ordered:
"Tell those time offenders: I want him alive."
"Otherwise, I'll make them suffer endlessly in the Abyss of Time."
Miss Minutes shivered, nodded, and vanished.
Void Land
Russell stared at the figure running in the distance—it looked just like Captain America. He was debating whether to approach or stay hidden.
Although the Human Torch had died for running his mouth in the past, he was still a good guy. There was no need to fight.
Besides, this guy had already died in Deadpool 3, so based on the Void's timeline, it was probably still safe. At least he wouldn't have to deal with Professor X's sister yet.
But something puzzled Russell—why wasn't this guy flying?
Was he afraid of being spotted by the monster Alioth?
After a moment's thought, Russell decided to approach.
The Void was full of dangers, far beyond what Loki or Deadpool 3 had shown. The more he knew, the better.
Before he could move, however, the man in the distance noticed him and suddenly bolted over.
And despite not flying, he was fast.
In less than ten seconds, the man arrived.
"Hey, man!"
The guy, dressed in a ragged trench coat, skidded to a halt and grinned:
"Nice new clothes. Let me guess—just pruned by the TVA's jackass guards?"
"Those stick-waving morons ought to be fed to Alioth!"
"Oh, wait—you probably don't know who Alioth is. Big scary thing. Eats everything."
"I'm telling you, this place—"
Before Russell could even open his mouth, the man who looked exactly like Captain America started rambling at full speed.
Judging by the stream of profanity, Russell figured he had to be the Human Torch.
After a few minutes of nonstop chatter, the man finally finished.
He had explained a few key dangers, how to spot signs of Alioth's presence, and warned about some terrifying mutant creatures in the area.
In short, he was pretty friendly.
Russell smiled and thanked him.
The man immediately invited him to their base, where a few other time prisoners who had also been pruned lived together and fought to survive.
Russell studied the man in front of him, who looked so much like the Human Torch, and remained quiet.
Then, after a closer look, he acted surprised and said:
"Wait—I think I know who you are. You're Mr. Thunderbolt from the Fantastic Four, right?"
"I've seen you on TV before. Can't believe you ended up here too."
The man didn't hesitate at all. He laughed and said:
"So you're a fan? What are the odds?"
"Well, once we get back to base, I'll pop open a good bottle and cook something nice. Everyone's been craving a decent meal."
"Today's a damn fine day!"
Russell's smile widened, and he shook the man's hand with excitement:
"That's great to hear!"
"With Mr. Johnny Storm here, I'll be safe. I really appreciate it."
The man's grin grew, but then he tried to pull his hand back—and failed.
Russell's grip tightened, like iron clamps.
"It's alright, brother," Johnny said, looking up at the sky nervously. "We shouldn't stay out here too long. The longer we sit still, the more likely we'll attract the Time Beast."
"Let's move!"
He tried again, tugging harder, but still couldn't pull free.
Johnny's face twisted in slight annoyance.
Russell, still smiling, acted completely oblivious and held on tighter.
Then he said calmly:
"Mr. Thunderbolt, I use flame powers too. Why don't you feel my heat and compare it to yours?"
As soon as he finished speaking—
Russell's hands turned glowing red, like branding irons. The air around them distorted with heat.
"AAAAAAGH!!!"
"Johnny" screamed in pain and kicked wildly!
Russell casually let go and dodged.
He looked at the man whose hands were now charred, brown, and trembling in agony, then smiled coldly:
"How's my temperature, Mr. Thunderbolt?"
