"Enough! Get out of the ring!" the coach shouted.
Alex and the other guy stepped out of the ring, both breathing heavily.
"Okay, what's your name again?" the coach asked.
"My name's Alex," he replied.
"I saw you in the ring. You managed to land a punch on my student—that's impressive, especially since you said you couldn't even throw a punch before. After thinking it over, I've decided… I'll teach you boxing," the coach said firmly.
"Really? Thank you!" Alex replied, his voice filled with excitement.
"You can start training tomorrow," the coach said.
The next morning, Alex woke up early and headed to the gym. When he arrived, the place was already alive with energy. People were punching bags, skipping ropes, and doing drills. Alex spotted Coach Ray and walked over to him.
"Hi, Coach! How are you?" Alex asked enthusiastically.
"Oh, so you're here already. You look excited," the coach said with a grin. "Go put your bag in the locker."
"Okay! Yeah, I'm really excited for today's training!" Alex said, then walked toward the locker room to store his bag. Once he returned, he approached the coach again.
"Okay, Coach. What am I supposed to do today?" Alex asked.
"Today, we start with the basics," the coach replied. "First, put on a pair of gloves. I'll show you how to wear them properly. After that, you'll work on the punching bag. There are many types of punches you need to learn."
Alex nodded eagerly. His journey had finally begun.
