"I can't... Believe it..." Sob. "He was taken from me, I was crying and begging that I will leave this fucking country the moment i get him back. They didn't even turn around... They were laughing, GODDAMN IT! LAUGHING AT ME! Seeing me in pain and laughing at me..."
"I know darling. But you can't go to the castle like that, it's really really dangerous. If the maids or anyone recognises you, your gone and I'll be without a friend, abandoned all over again."
"But Matt, just listen to me this once. I have a good plan, if i get in, I can use that knight... He is lonely, he needs someone, i know. And if I can be that, he can tell me what happened to Arthur and tell me where the king's chamber is so I can destroy it while he's sleeping. It's good... Pls just trust me this once."
"Wil I-..." Sigh. "But i swear to god if something goes wrong. Oh I'm bleeding everyone dry in that castle. Innocent or not."
"Don't worry... I'll be going tonight."
This time. I was cautious, I got my things. Dressed up as a maid, resembling the ones in the castle. Looking at myself, I sigh in satisfaction. With a smile that i thought I will never do again, i say my goodbyes to Matilda and part my way. Walking to the castle, I look around, everything is lit up by lanterns or whatever this shit is. I like it dark, light hurts my goddamn eyes. Well, i reach the kingdom and saw the gaurds outside. So... I have to use my magic a little bit.
Walking over with a gentle smile. The gaurds turn their heads, staring daggers into me but I'm not frightened, my father was far more scarier than they'll ever be if even in that armour or with that sword.
"Who are you?"
"One of the maids." I say with a powder i made, i blow it at both the gaurds. As they freeze and forget whatever happened, I manage to slip in. Taking a cloth to clean the tables, I look around, it's dinner time. The knights are sitting together and laughing, and then there's... Him... Sitting alone under a tree eating nothing. I look around to see if someone is watching. After the area was clear, I walk over to him, with an apple in hand. I stand infront of him. Holding out the apple to him. He slowly looks up. His-... His eyes are like the deepest part of the ocean that no one has discovered.
He said... Nothing, i still held it out. But then I got bored and took a bite myself, sitting down beside him.
"You don't talk?"
He just shook his head under the helmet. I nod, accepting his answer as he doesn't really seem to be interacting with any of the other knights. Maybe he is a quiet one.
"I'm, Agatha. The new maid here, you are?"
He just shook his head. What the heck? Does this guy even talk or what? Goddamn it. This will be more difficult than i thought I guess. Ugh, but I'll try, and try. I have to avenge Arthur.
"Uh... You don't talk?"
He shook his head. AGAIN. I'll actually smack him now. For god's sake u have vocal chords, USE THEM. You have a mouth. USE IT. Not to stay silent like a goddamn cloud that never rains and keeps everything to itself. I'll try, keep trying though.
"Uh.... Are you mute?"
He. Shook. His. Head. GODDAMN IT IM DONE.
"SERIOUSLY? JUST TALK WITH YOUR MOUTH!"
"I'm not allowed to talk to anyone except the king."
Huh? Strange. My face softened. It's just my first day, maybe he'll talk when I try to interact more.
Maybe... That day might be tomorrow. Or never.
