"When you give those up, what about you? Don't those things matter a lot for you too?" Qing Tan asked with a trace of concern as she stared at the two ancestral symbols in Xiao Yan's hand. She was well aware that his Eye of the Ancestral Symbol required the power of ancestral symbols to function. Handing over two of them would surely weaken its power, which in turn could affect his overall combat strength.
"Relax, those aren't real ancestral symbols. I forged them myself using the structure of two genuine ones as a template, condensing them with my own spiritual energy." Xiao Yan smiled, then added, "Although they're artificial, their strength isn't that far off from the real thing. Once you refine them, they'll be quite helpful."
What Qing Tan didn't know was that when Xiao Yan said "not far off," he meant compared to the original ancestral symbols in their earliest forms. As he spoke, he flicked his wrist, and several blue scrolls appeared in his palm.
"Your Ice God Body cultivation method is decent, but its ranking is only in the thirties—not too impressive. I've brought you a Sovereign Body technique ranked in the top twenty. There's also some divine abilities that suit your affinity. When you have time, train with these—it'll give you an edge when contending for the Ice Spirit Clan leadership."

Since Qing Tan had made up her mind to vie for the Ice Spirit Clan's throne, he naturally wouldn't let her go in unarmed. These treasures had been redeemed from the Great Thousand Palace and were originally prepared as gifts. Now was simply the right time to hand them over.
His lavish generosity even made Mandala raise an eyebrow, just as Xiao Yan passed another stack of scrolls into her hands.
"Don't worry, I've got a full set for you too—divine techniques, artifacts, pills. As long as you ask, I'll provide everything."
"You really are generous..." Mandala murmured.
"I've always been generous with my women." Xiao Yan said with a smile. Then he glanced at Qing Tan and added, "Even though you've got that Breaking Sovereign Pill, your breakthrough to Earth Sovereign might still face obstacles. So tonight, I'll give you some one-on-one training."
"One-on-one training?" Qing Tan and Mandala exchanged glances, somewhat confused.
What kind of training could possibly help with a breakthrough to Earth Sovereign? The answer only became clear when night fell, and Qing Tan, following Xiao Yan's instructions, found herself lying on the bed... without her clothes.
"You... you liar... you said this was training..." she gasped, her breath broken up by the rhythm of Xiao Yan's "teaching."
"You think I'm just fooling around?" he replied righteously, even as he held her firmly, "...Breakthroughs need energy. I'm helping you accumulate it."
"You're shameless..." Qing Tan murmured, trying to stay conscious as waves of intense energy surged through her. Her arms clung to him for support as her legs struggled to maintain strength. Bit by bit, her resistance faded, and she surrendered to the overwhelming assault.
Despite her earlier complaints, Xiao Yan remained composed and even kept a straight face through the entire ordeal, as if he were giving a genuine cultivation lecture rather than... what was happening.
After a long and exhausting "training session"—one that would take countless scrolls to narrate in full—Qing Tan lay curled up in Xiao Yan's arms, soft and docile like a kitten, her earlier resistance nowhere to be found.
"Right... there's something I forgot to mention." Xiao Yan recalled something, his tone turning a little awkward. "It's about Lin Jing."
"Hmm? What about Jing'er?" Qing Tan mumbled sleepily. "Is she doing well?"
"She's fine. I saw her during a trip to the Dou Qi Continent. Also, now that I've reached Heavenly Sovereign, I can transfer the entire continent to Tianluo World. Once you return, you'll be able to meet her anytime."
Qing Tan nodded absentmindedly, too tired to react strongly. But then Xiao Yan's next sentence brought her back to full awareness.
"But, um... your relationship with her might be a little different going forward."

"Ahem... it's not that I did anything to her. She was the one who—well, let's just say she took the initiative," Xiao Yan said, sighing helplessly. "Anyway, the nature of our relationship now... is similar to what you and I have. If you want the full story, it's best you hear it from her directly once she arrives."
