What are you doing, Eloise?Why did you hold onto him even though you told him to leave?
My body acted on its own. The moment he turned away to leave, I got...scared.
I'm pathetic. I told myself space was needed, but I still wanted him to stay. This inner battle made my head clatter for any meaning why I held onto his jacket.
"Good." Drevon cupped my cheek, stroking with his thumb, his eyes doused with a number of emotions, and it made his molten crimson eyes more stunning. "Because I have no intention of leaving anymore."
My gaze grew tender.
"Even if you tell me to leave again, even if you take off the nail. I still won't leave."
"The nail won't come off," I mumbled in response.
Our lips were dangerously close, but we both didn't make any attempt to seal a kiss. I placed my hand on Drevon's chest and gave a push so that his back rested on the headboard, and I saddled him.
His hand freed my cheek and dropped to his sides, eyes searching mine as did mine.
