Logan POV
It's been a whole week and Sage wouldn't stop sulking, having lost the Mating Duel to Cerberus, she felt as though her pride was destroyed but Logan could tell the other dragons now feared her more, after all she went toe to toe with a wraith and held her own.
Of course she wouldn't listen to reason and had been taking leisure rides daily, daring any dragon to make fun of her. She must have been missing the feeling that they all held fear and respect for her now or maybe she was just lost in the sea of her hurt ego.
Logan sauntered into the throne room, his feet stopping mid pace as a frantic voice rushed through his mind with urgency and a tad bit touch of pain.
"Shadow, I encountered some wild dragons so close to the border and they are after me now. Feral is hurt badly and can't fly for now till he heals" Zedner's message had him turning around and walking into the space for his dragon who immediately landed before him with all seriousness.
As he flew out, he found Zena and Aleirraki flying straight for him, they saw him and immediately went after him, easily catching up and together they set for the borderlands without any exchange of words.
When they got there, they found up to ten different colors and breeds of dragons patrolling the skies above a specific area, they looked wild but had riders above them.
"This is different" Zena said out loud as they approached and he gave a sharp nod of affirmation, wild dragons lacked riders because they were unable to be tamed. They were far too unpredictable and killed without thinking so this was a recent development he had to take into account..
Of course, seeing this would immediately attract Zedner to check it out and find out more, they must have been waiting for him to do so. They had baited and trapped him.
They spotted them and dove straight for them, taking up a formation easily and his eyes widened at this new information before they sharpened and Sage dove forward..
He heard a screech as he slammed into a murky colored brown dragon and Sage used her claws to grab at his tiny serpentine head before snapping it without mercy.
They both twisted out of the way and Sage used her jaws to clamp down on the tail of the green dragon that had come for them and they slammed it into another green dragon and together, they both went spiralling down to the earth.
He glanced around only to watch with fascination as Aleirraki flew off her Wraith and twirled around in the air just before daggers left her body and sliced through a rider on a red dragon.
From his calculations, those daggers were strange, they flew straight into the neck of the red dragons before returning back to her and she jumped off of it as it gave one last screech before falling down to the earth with a loud thud.
She grabbed a hold of the Wraith's sharp tail and he flung her at another dragon and she slammed her dagger into it's eyes before taking it down it's wings and tearing it open. Rendering it unable to fly and sending it straight to its death.
Sage cried out as a dragon slammed into them and a sudden hit had him curling low as the Wraith flew by with vengeance and he watched as a blue flame enveloped the blue dragon and it screeched with agony as it went down.
What the hell was that fire and where did it come from?. Dragons did not burn that easy but this unknown fire had burnt that dragon so bad it had died.
He watched her dragon help her back onto his back with his tail and then they both turned to stare him and Sage in the eyes.
Her eyes were pure electric blue, even the whites were blue. But she blinked and it disappeared and she sent me a small smirk before they turned and dove down for the trees.
After they all found someplace to land, they began to search for Zedner and after some time found him hidden in the depths of a cave with his dragon who was having trouble breathing.
"What happened to him?" He barked out as soon as he saw them and Zedner stood up quickly to explain, his voice croaky due to his fear for his dragon.
"He got pretty hurt while fending off three dragons, they were all in green colors. They stabbed him" he forced out with a clear voice and he sighed as Aleirraki stepped forward and walked down to the dragon whose eyes were closed shut.
Her hands emitted a blue light and Logan scowled as he grabbed her hands but hissed and immediately released her from the heat. She gave him a confused look before she stepped into the dragon and laid her palms on his bleeding wound..
Before his very eyes, the blue lights knitted the skin back together and the dragon's breathing became more stable as she continued.
How was this even possible? He heard gasps from behind him at this and turned just in time to see her stand to her feet.
"My fire has healing abilities in them, it can kill and repair and with him being a fire breathing beast it helped too" She explained weakly before she staggered and her eyes rolled into her head then she went straight for the ground.
Zedner was there before he could move and jealousy burned deep within my chest before Logan sauntered over and took her from his arms.
"Don't touch her" Logan barked out and he smirked as he retreated back to his dragon.
"No one's trying to steal your woman, Logan " Zena's amused voice filled the cave and he sent her a sharp glare that had her clutching her chest with laughter leaving her lips.
"So what's next?" Zedner asked, feigning seriousness but he could hear the underlying sense of amusement in his voice too. Good for nothing Elites.
"We will spend the night here, gets things ready" he ordered smoothly and they nodded before leaving the cave to go hunt for food and gather sticks for a fire.
Being this close to this borderlands was dangerous, much more so than the veil and holding this woman in his arms, he wondered what else she could do that he did not know about.
She groaned in his arms and he quickly went to take a seat at the far end of the cave wall, then he cracked her to his chest and she immediately relaxed into his arms. His body emitted this comfortable heat, it felt comfortable to him so it must have felt same for her to be this relaxed.
