[Your Zanpakutō, pleased by the death of Nnoitra, increased its compatibility. Your bond deepened. Self-understanding expanded. Hidden potential stirred.]
[Your Reiatsu has now defeated an Espada twice. Confidence surged. Perception widened. A new threshold unlocked: Ultimate Reiatsu Realm.]
The belated system notifications echoed softly, leaving Moyu momentarily dazed. He hadn't imagined that his clash with Nnoitra would push his strength to this level, and compared to that, the enhancement of Day Thunder and Gale Sword Dao felt almost secondary. The greater shift lay in his Zanpakutō—Lanyin—and the comprehension of a new state of Reiatsu. Zanpakutō and soul were one; every shift in Lanyin was a shift in himself. Even when using Shikai, he had always sensed that Lanyin's power wasn't fully expressed, that something deeper remained untapped. Now, with this growth, he could faintly perceive it—Lanyin might possess a second Shikai form, and given her cultivation rate, it might not be long before it emerged.
The change in Reiatsu struck at the root of being a Shinigami. A master once said: all battles between Shinigami are battles of Reiatsu. No matter how overwhelming the ability, if Reiatsu fell short, even touching an enemy's defense became impossible. Sui-Feng's Suzumebachi—a weapon with a two-hit instant kill—was a prime example of how a perfect technique could falter against overwhelming spiritual pressure. In the end, those with stronger Reiatsu dominate, and Moyu felt a surging curiosity about his evolving strength, though now wasn't the time for tests; other matters demanded his attention.
Nnoitra's death had left a wave of Reiatsu dispersing through the air, and without a Negación to retrieve him, the Espada's existence truly ended. Unlike Szayel Aporro, who prepared contingencies for survival, Nnoitra lived only for combat, either to kill Nelliel or be killed by her. Though it wasn't Nelliel's blade that felled him, he had still died to someone stronger—exactly as he wanted.
"Since you're dead, I'll put your final remnants to use." Moyu gazed down at the lifeless Espada and raised Lanyin without ceremony. The wind shifted unnaturally, funneling toward his hand as Kurosaki Masaki landed silently behind him with Nelliel, eyeing the scene. "You are…?" she asked. The corner of Moyu's lips curved slightly. "A little technique to balance the scales." A sweeping current of wind converged over Nnoitra's corpse, and to Masaki's astonishment, the scattered Reiatsu began reversing, forcibly compressed and returned to the broken body. "Wind breath can stabilize scattered Reiatsu," Moyu explained calmly. "This one's for Nilu. A nutrient source."
Though Nnoitra was only Adjuchas-class, his Reiatsu still approached Vasto Lorde levels. Under Moyu's guidance, the chaotic wind compressed that volatile energy into a dense, rotating sphere. "Nilu, open your mouth." She hesitated only for a second before obeying, but Masaki stepped forward in alarm. "That amount of Reiatsu—it might overload her!" Clearly, she didn't know what Nilu was. "Relax," Moyu smiled. "I've got experience with feeding." To him, it was no different from serving a dish to the most dangerous patrons—he could make poison palatable. He offered the sphere again, and Nilu's little face lit up as she swallowed it whole.
Emerald light poured from her form as refined spiritual pressure pulsed outward. She blinked, puzzled, and when Moyu asked what was wrong, she simply replied, "I feel… warm." Masaki stared, stunned by the lack of backlash, while Moyu frowned slightly at the modest change—she had gone from ordinary Nilu to glowing Nilu, her Reiatsu only slightly higher. "Wow! Nilu is shining!" she giggled, spinning in place, then declared herself full and beamed at Moyu. He wasn't surprised; compared to her true Vasto Lorde nature, Nnoitra's Reiatsu was just a snack.
Masaki, watching them, finally smiled. "Now that you're both safe, I'll take my leave. You're the strangest Shinigami I've ever met—and also… the kindest. See you again." She vanished with Hirenkyaku, leaving Moyu staring toward the ruined city behind him. Despite holding back, his Reiatsu and blade had left devastation in their wake, and Seireitei would already know. "Let's go home, Nilu," he said, and she nodded brightly.
At the temporary Shinigami stronghold, Moyu faced Yoruichi in her cat form, tossing Nilu outside to play. "Wasn't that battle a bit much?" she asked. Moyu shrugged—against an Espada, going all out was the only way to survive. The real problem was the aftermath: captains would be dispatched, cleanup would follow, and Karakura Town's hidden forces risked exposure. Concealments could hide the Urahara shop and Visoreds from ordinary Shinigami, but not from Aizen or Gin.
"Once we go from hiding to exposure," Yoruichi muttered, "the risk spikes." Moyu's calm reply was, "There's always a way forward," but the unspoken truth was that Kyōka Suigetsu remained unbeatable—if Aizen arrived, the battle would end before it began. Yoruichi eventually leapt from his lap, morphing back to her human form, only for Moyu to groan at her lack of modesty. "Why bother?" she teased, leaning close. "Or do you want Big Sis to keep you company tonight?" His smirk was all the answer she needed.
