The moment we stepped into the Tower, the first floor lit up with a low hum. A wooden rack stood in the center, gleaming under the sudden light—on it rested a sword, a mage's wand, a book of spells, a shield, a bow, and a pair of daggers.
"Look—a sword!" Ragna exclaimed, his eyes lighting up as he rushed forward. Without hesitation, he grabbed the sword and snatched up the mage's wand too.
"Hey, put the wand back," Cinister said, stepping up behind him. A flicker of flame danced to life in his palm. "I can use my flames barehanded. I don't need one."
Ragna glanced at the fire, impressed. "You're really Lucky, you know that?
A goblin quickly lunged at Ragna but he quickly composses himself and smacks the goblin towards me
"Hey watch it" Cinister shouts as a grab the goblin and puts him of fire
The creature screeched, then collapsed into ash. From the remains, a half-broken dagger clattered to the floor.
As Cinister tries to grab it theres a spark between the dagger and his hand
"What happened?" Ragna pondered.
"I'm guessing it's because I'm a Mage and not an Assassin" Cinister shot back.
In the darkness ahead, dozens of goblins stood motionless—silent, lurking just beyond the light, their eyes glinting like tiny blades.
Then, a long, low sigh echoed from the shadows. It wasn't goblin-like. It was heavier. Older. Meaner.
A tremor ran through the floor.
Without warning, a massive red goblin clad in jagged armor stepped forward, emerging from the black like a nightmare. Its eyes burned with fury, and its growl rumbled in its chest like thunder.
Above its head, glowing letters appeared in midair:
[Boss: Bloodfang, the Red Scourge]
"Well this might be a problem" said Ragna as he stood firm with his sword now covered in thunder.
"No sh*t" Cinister replied as he took a book of spells from the wooden rack and look through the spell book
As the pages turned, the book pulsed with light—then the glowing text began to form, listing the spells he had seen.
[Ignivar Spell: Fireball]
A small ball of flame that can have its heat and diameter adjusted at the user's will.
[Ignivar Support Spell: Fire Ring]
Summons a fiery ring behind the user, boosting their speed, damage, and fire-based abilities.
Cinister uses the Fire Ring Spell and a fire ring slowly appeared behind his back and started spinning slowly clockwise.
"This is amazing" exclaimed Cinister.
Ragna watched in awe—then clenched his fists and closed his eyes in focus.Sparks crackled around one hand, while water spiraled around the other.
He activated both spells at once: Voltbrand and Aqualith.
The boss goblin charged forward with blinding speed—faster than anyone expected. 30 mph. A shockwave rippled behind him as he closed the gap in an instant.
Cinister barely had time to react. The goblin's massive axe came down in a deadly arc—but Ragna lunged in and deflected it with his sword, sparks flying.
"Dude snap out of it" Ragna yelled.
Cinister quickly goes back to normal and I jump of Ragna shoulder and I cast Fireball which hit the goblin in his throat
"It's Alive I guess I should expect this from The Tower" Cinister mumbled.
The goblin let out a furious roar—its body glowing red as a strength buff and defenssive surged through it.
With renewed speed, it lunged toward Cinister, axe raised high.
But this time, Cinister was ready.
He sidestepped the charge and delivered a powerful kick to the goblin's chest, sending it flying straight toward Ragna.
Ragna was already in position.
His sword now mixed with thunder and water. As the goblin came into range, he swung his sword in a clean arc.
The combined force of Voltbrand and Aqualith surged through the blade, the deadly fusion of thunder and water slicing through the goblin's thick neck like it was paper.
The boss dropped with a final, guttural growl—its massive form hitting the floor with a heavy thud. The goblin's body quickly turns into Nexus fragments and on the floor where it died there was a key to the next floor and 2 scrolls.
"I didn't expect it to move that fast," Cinister said, catching his breath as he bent down to pick up a glowing scroll. "Speaking of how did you react in time?"
"Well it's because of those d*mn pacer tests" Ragna grumbled
As they laugh it off Cinister opens the scroll and the spell lights up and is transported to my book
[Ignivar Spell: Jet Burst]
The feet of the user start getting hotter, when the charge is ready the user gets a burst of speed.
"This spell is going to be useful in a foot race" Cinister said
At the same time Ragna got his scrolls
[Aqualith Spell: Aqua Blade]
Allows the user to summon up to 10 powerful, levitating Aqua Swords.
"Sh*t, yours is really cool," Cinister said, eyes wide.
"Yeah, because I'm stronger than you," Ragna shot back with a smirk.
"Keep dreaming, buddy," Cinister retorted, grinning.
We unlock the next floor where we start killing goblins for expirience and loot which ranges from broken weapons to armor.
Amid the chaos, we picked up loot—mostly broken weapons and beat-up armor. The armor looked battered and useless at first, but when we equipped it, something strange happened.
It vanished from our hands—and appeared in our status menus as Defense +2.
Even the roughest gear had its purpose here.
We searched the area thoroughly but found no sign of the boss.Then Ragna suddenly looked up, his eyes widening in alarm.
He pointed skyward and whispered, "Cinister, look up."
Cinister followed his gaze—and there, clinging to the ceiling, was a massive spider.
[Boss: Venomspike, the Web Reaper]
The spider launched a volley of venomous spikes toward us.
Cinister reacted instantly, activating Jet Burst and blasting himself out of harm's way.
But Ragna wasn't so lucky. One of the venomous darts struck his arm, burning fiercely on impact.
"Ragna, you good?" Cinister shouted from above.
Ragna gritted his teeth. "Yeah just burns a bit."
Cinister activated Jet Burst, blasting off the ground with one foot as he soared toward the spider.
The spider launched another volley of venomous spikes, but Cinister was ready. Using his other foot, he twisted sharply to the left, narrowly dodging the attack.
"Eat this!" Cinister shouted, firing a blazing Fireball straight at the spider.
The Spider dodges and lunges at Cinister. He quickly uses Fire Ring and barely avoids the attack.
Suddenly, an Aqua Sword appeared out of nowhere, slashing straight into the spider's eye. The beast let out a furious screech, thrashing wildly.
Seizing the moment, Cinister grabbed the spider's leg and engulfed it in roaring flames, forcing the creature to stagger back in agony.
"Thanks for the assist, Ragna," Cinister said with a grin.
"No problem," Ragna replied, catching his breath.
With one hand, Ragna pushed himself to his feet and summoned the remaining nine Aqua Swords, which hovered menacingly around him.
Behind Cinister, the Fire Ring ignited once more, flames spinning fiercely as he prepared for the next attack.
The spider, now on its last legs, let out a deafening screech. Suddenly, it surged forward with a massive speed boost—moving at Mach 1.
Cinister unleashed a torrent of flames, setting the spider's body ablaze.
At the same time, Ragna drove his Aqua Swords into the creature, their icy blades cutting through the burning flesh.
The spider's body convulsed, caught between searing heat and chilling cold.
With a final roar it's hear stopped.
The Spider turns into Nexus fragment and dropped the cure for the venom, 2 scrolls, the key, and a speed potion.
Cinister takes one of the scrolls and uses it.
[Ignivar Spell: Sun Dance]
when the user uses this move it releases 3 fire cirles that grow in size, spin in diffrent ways and move foward so that the small one is first while the largest is last.
Ragna also takes his and uses the cure on his arm
[Voltbound Spell: Thunderstrike]
For the next strike, the knight's sword is imbued with lightning, delivering a powerful blow that shocks enemies and has a chance to stun them briefly.
The electric charge also enhances armor, momentarily boosting defense by creating a static shield that zaps attackers on contact.
Cinister takes the potion and with Ragna they head to the next floor.
