Jessica glanced around before fixing her gaze on me. "William, come with me," she commanded.
What did this woman want from me? Had I done something that made her upset again?
Paul gestured good luck as I nervously touched my nose and entered the director's office.
Jessica sat in front of the desk, still looking unapproachable. Yet, recalling how she chatted with me on online enthusiastically, I thought to myself, "Another contradictory woman!"
"Director, what can I do for you?"
"Is your injury getting better?"
Wow, this woman actually cared about me. I felt a bit flattered.
"Much better now. I can get the stitches removed in two days."
She nodded. "Now that you've been promoted, you need to set an example. Discuss everything with Melody Wilson, understand?"
"Yes!"
I couldn't quite understand her intentions, so I simply nodded.
"You should have a good relationship with Mr. Jefferson from Marquesa Vines company, right?" she suddenly asked.
"I guess," I replied.
