Chapter 10 - Visiting Guel.

As Dorydark mounted Eve, we made our way towards Guel. Dorydark would steal a glance at me from time to time with a smile on her face. 'What?' I asked. 'For a human your age, you shine brighter than other humans. I find you fascinating to look at.' She said with an honest smile that she had never thought about getting married before, and here, in front of her, was someone she didn't mind the thought of marrying. It was odd, but to her it felt right for some reason. As I chuckled, we sped through the forest. I only had Adma and Eve out as I wasn't hunting and focusing on traveling as the sun moved through the sky and started to get closer to sunset.

We left the forest around five in the afternoon, a little slower than I thought we would be as we started walking, now that the Utahraptors were no longer running, as I didn't want to scare anyone unless I had to. We made it to the gate around twenty minutes later, as I pulled out my papers showing I lived in the village of Umir, and Dorydark showed them her guild card as they eyed the Utahraptors, but didn't say anything. From what I learned from John, there are plenty of odd mounts in this world. 'Please come with me to the Red Roses guild house.' Dorydark said with a smile as we made our way through the city.

Stopping in front of a mansion, as I ordered Eve to let her down, I jumped off Adam and unsummoned them. As she went to the door and opened it, only for an arrow to fly out, and I heard screaming. 'You ate my honey-glazed pastry!' a woman yelled as another one yelled back, 'I will buy you another one! I was hungry last night!' as we walked in. I noticed a Forest Elf shooting arrows at a woman with horns and a lizard-like tail. Is she a dragonkin? I thought to myself. Those people are rare.

They stopped the moment they felt my look. 'Dorydark, males aren't allowed in here.' The forest elf said with disgust, making me understand that the red roses are most likely all females. 'I know, but the guild leader needs to be informed that my sisters are injured and at Umir village.' She said, sighing as the two stopped fighting. 'What happened?' A voice echoed from the top of the stairs, with a woman wearing a noble-style dress with red hair. She was breathtaking as I looked at her in a daze. 'A Rare werewolf attacked us, and this young man saved us while we retreated towards his village as he dealt with the monsters.' She said, bowing.

This was the Guild leader of the Red Roses; it's a fitting name. 'Oh, this boy beat a Rare werewolf.' She said with a hint of intrigue that she knows that Dorydark doesn't like to lie, so her words had merit to them as the forest elf scoffed. 'No way a human child could beat a Rare Werewolf, C-rank in their class.' She said, making me chuckle. 'You are an archer, madam? Why don't we have a match to see who can hit the most targets within a set time? I said it's better to show than argue about it. 'I will make the targets,' a cold and enchanting voice echoed from behind the guild master. She had snow-white hair and wore a white kimono, accompanied by light blue lipstick.

'You're a human male. Thinking you can beat a Forest Elf in archery!' The forest elf said with distaste as she stormed off. 'Sorry, about her.' Dorydark said. 'You don't need to, humans have mistreated elves, and there will be some hostility between us as a race. She hasn't done anything to anger me, and I can handle this much without a problem.' I said, making the guild leader clap. 'You are interesting, young boy. What is your name?' She said. 'I am called Jacob.' I said bowing. 'I am Victoria, it's a pleasure to meet you.' She said, bowing a little.

We moved to the back of the mansion, and I noticed several women watching from their windows. I could feel their power; they felt slightly stronger than I. As I took the bow off my back, I waited for the woman in the white kimono to speak. 'I will make ice shards, and the one who hits the most within the time of this hourglass wins. Up first will be our side.' She said as I stepped back and watched the Forest elf take her place.

An Ice shard started to form as she began to hit them. The pace was about the same speed as mine, maybe a little faster. I couldn't tell as the last of the sand stopped. '97 targets hit and destroyed.' The woman said. Making the Forest elf smirk at me as I walked up, taking my place and getting ready, as the ice shards formed, I fired the first, but it didn't break, which made me squint my eyes as I was using the same power as the forest elf. So I added metal nature to the tip, shooting the next one, breaking it, which made the woman in white shocked for a moment.

I made sure to keep coating the metal nature as I was onto her while slowly increasing it to make sure that she wasn't playing anymore tricks on me. As the sands finally finished falling, the woman in white grunted out, '98 hit and destroyed.' She said, looking away. 'I lost.' The forest elf said, dropping the bow. I sighed and didn't say anything as she picked it up before walking away. 'What did you use to destroy my Ice shards?' The woman in white said this as the guild leader listened in. I pulled an arrow out and wrapped it in metal nature element magic. 'I see you can use element magic, no wonder you beat a C-rank Rare monster.' The woman in white said before bowing. 'I am sorry for making it hard on you.' She said.

'It was nothing more than a prank, after all, I still won in the end. I would only be complaining if I had lost, but I am sure the Guild Leader would have accepted that I had beaten a C-rank Rare monster after showing that I was able to break your stronger Ice Shards.' I said, looking over at the Guild leader, and she smiled. 'Well, I need to sell some stuff and find a place to sleep tonight, so I will take my leave.' I said, bowing as the guild leader opened her mouth. 'You save my guild members, I will allow you to rest in one of the rooms here.' She said, shocking the people listening.

'I thank your hospitality, Guild master.' I said before, making my way to the front of the mansion, only to be stopped by the Forest Elf as she looked at me. 'I am sorry.' She said that before leaving, which made me smile. 'She wasn't a bad person after all, just dealing with the hardships of this world.' I said to myself, not knowing two women were watching me. 'What do you think of him, Nya?' Said one of them. 'I don't know, Nya. Let's watch him some more, Nya.'

Walking towards the shopping district after getting directions from a guard, I ended up in a shop that sold and bought magic crystals. 'I am here to sell magic crystals.' I said with my head barely over the countertop. Making the man chuckle. 'Boy, what can you even sell me?' He said, waving me off as I pulled out the Rare monster crystal. 'This is the best one I have, I have over 8,000 E-rank normal Crystals and about 500 D-rank normal Crystals with 50 C-rank normal Crystals.' I said, shocking the shopkeeper.

'Where did you get them?' He asked, side-eyeing the Rare monster Crystal. 'I killed them all.' I said with a straight face as he was about to say something, when the door opened and I looked back to see two twin catkin with dark skin. They had to be in their early twenties, and I noticed a Red Rose on their clothes. 'He did kill them, nya.' The one with semi-short white hair said. The store owner looked at them and nodded as he spoke. 'Lay them out and I will tell you how much I will buy them for.' He said, and I went to work laying out the E-rank first, as they are the most I have.

I got done with everything, and he looked over the pile. 'Everything here I will buy for 600 gold coins. The Rare monster was already 50 gold coins.' I knew he couldn't afford to buy so much at once, and 600 gold coins is a lot, considering one gold coin can last a person for almost a year. 'I agree,' I said, making him smile as he went to get the money, and I waited as the two catkins looked at me. 'Why do you smell of Dorydark pussy?' The one with black hair said it, making me trip while I was standing.
