Scene 1: A Desperate Escape
The smell of burning metal and blood filled the air. The tiny alley, which had been a battlefield only moments before, had become eerily quiet. Bodies, some still twitching, others frozen in death, sprawled across the pavement like shattered dolls.Blood gushing from a new wound on his shoulder, Lee—Alex—stumbled against the wall. He breathed in rough gasps. Pain clouded his vision, but not enough to keep him from seeing what was approaching.
It wasn't a human. Its form shimmered, more shadow than flesh, eyes like voids that absorbed the dim streetlight. It studied them with silent intensity, head tilting slightly, as if amused.
Arya raised her dagger. "Jin… any brilliant ideas?"
Jin's face was slick with blood and sweat. He glanced at the beast. "Yeah. We run."
The creature took a step forward—and in that instant, Lee felt a spike of pressure in his mind. Like cold fingers scraping inside his skull. Foreign whispers slithered across his thoughts.
You don't belong.
The voice reverberated within him rather than in the atmosphere."Get moving!" Arya grabbed Lee's wrist and barked.
They ran.
Scene 2: The Rooftop Chase
Gunshots rang out behind them. Jin had snatched a weapon from one of the fallen and was firing at the creature. The bullets hit—but the thing rippled like mist, as if reality couldn't hold its form.
"Climb!" Arya shouted, pointing at a nearby fire escape.
Lee scrambled up, every rung stabbing pain through his body. Jin was close behind, his gun clutched tight. The metal ladder groaned under their weight.
Then it shook.
Lee glanced down—and froze.
The creature was climbing.
Its limbs moved like smoke, claws piercing brick with ease. Jin fired again, but it was like shooting a ghost.
"Faster!" Arya cried.
Lee reached the rooftop just as the monster lunged. Jin tried to intercept, but the creature phased through him and struck. Claws raked across his chest, sending him flying backward.
Arya hurled a blade. It passed through the creature's head with no effect.
Lee didn't think. He launched himself at the monster.
It turned—and slashed.
Agony tore through his shoulder. Blood spattered across the roof.
"LEE!" Arya screamed.
Scene 3: The Blood Pact
The creature stopped.
It stared at its claw, dripping with Lee's blood. Then, slowly, it looked back at him.
For a second, it didn't move. It simply watched.
Jin dragged himself to his feet, gasping. "Get him out of here!"
Arya hesitated, then nodded. She grabbed Lee, slinging his good arm over her shoulder.
They bolted.
The creature didn't follow.
It watched them go.
And it smiled.
Scene 4: A Warning from the Shadows
They hid in a half-collapsed warehouse, lit only by a broken neon sign humming in the dark.
Arya tore fabric from her jacket and pressed it against Lee's wound. He flinched, but he winced.
She questioned, "What was that thing?"
Jin sat nearby, blood streaked across his chest. "Not human. That's all I know."
Lee stared at the ceiling, dizzy. "It spoke to me… in my head."
They both turned to him.
"What did it say?" Arya asked.
Lee swallowed hard. "It said I don't belong."
Silence stretched between them.
Then Arya stood. "We need answers."
Jin nodded. "Before that thing—or worse—comes back."
Lee closed his eyes, his body trembling.
Whatever that creature was, it had recognized something in him.
And that terrified him more than the wounds ever could.
