It didn't seem like a strong creature, but I didn't want to let my guard down, I was out numbered. The three slime continued to approach me. The slime on the left attacked, forming what looked like a blade of water, and launched it at me. The blade of water moved rapidly towards me, barely giving me time to react in my bewildered state. I lifted my shield just in time, feeling the force slaming onto it.

After the force of the attack faded, I lowered my shield, and dashed forward. Meeting the 3 slime in close combat. I swung my ax with all the force I could, aiming at the lead slime. To my amazement, the slime is split in two. A viscous blue jelly like substance spilt from the two halves. I then, flipped the ax, and swung it backwards hitting the slime to the right, only dealing 8 damage, leaving it at 2 HP. I then, kicked the slime, splattering it along the forest floor. Leaving just one last slime to deal with I turn around and glance at the slime, that is now forming a water blade, although this time I am unable to raise my shield in defense, causing me to take the full force of the attack to my back, taking 23 damage. A long red gash was the result, my lack of combat knowledge slowing my reflexes. Following this attack, I threw my ax at the slime, causing it 6 damage. I dash forward again and deliver a strong kick. Ending the battle with a long exhale, I had not realized I had been holding my breath.

After that unexpected bout, I gathered my ax and looked around. The once green forrest floor now splattered with blue sticky liquid. The area begins to shimmer as the strange substance begins to disappear, a few items take it's place as I gather the items and inspect my inventory. I find i have acquired:

3 slime skin (common)

The membrane of a common slime, used in crafting.

scroll (common) (unidentified)

a scroll containing an ability.

needs to be identified.

I also received 8 copper pieces that instantly went to my currency tab. I then looked at my status screen and noticed that I had several notifications. 3 notifications stating that I had slain a slime, receiving 5 experience points per slime killed. One notification stating that I learned a new skill 'Wild Charge' and another stating that I learned a the skill 'Sunder'. Clearing the notifications screen, I see my stat screen and it reads:

After looking over my stats screen, I smiled then closed the interface. "Welp, I guess I should keep my wits about me till I reach town." I mumbled to myself, and continued south east as stated in the quest. Along the way, I come across a few more slime, and easily dispatch them and gathered the items, increasing my stash of skins to 8. By dusk, I could see the walls of the city. It was already getting pretty late and my stomach was growling. I was getting fairly thirsty and needed to get town, so I decided to not doddle, moving at a rapid pace, soon I would make it to the gates.

The gates where guarded by 2 men, I was standing in front of the two burley guards of the city watch. My system screen appearing with one of the guards information.

The second guard was vary similar to the first, his name was Joris. I slowly made my way to stand in front of them. As the two guards watched me, one gestured for me to stop. "Halt! What brings you here Dwarf?" The one named Aldwin barks, in a gravely voice. I answer the man with a lower, albeit respectful tone, "I'm here to become a Armourer for this city!". The two men glance at each other then back at me. "We will need some form of identification, if you don't have any documentation, you will need to accompany me to the guard house to get this settled."

I nodded and said, "please sir, lead the way." Aldwin glances at Joris and leads me through the gate, and to the guard house. Along the way he introduces himself, so inturn I introduced myself to him.

As we enter the guard house, Aldwin introduced the captain of the watch. The captains name was Xavier. Who then nodded to Aldwin, who turned and left, leaving me in the care of the captain. I introduced myself, then informed him of my plans.

Captain Xavier nodded in understanding and started filling in forms as he said, "Well allow me to welcome you to the city Thescia young smith, I will process your information and make you a visitor badge.". I scowled, then askes, " is there no way for me to become a citizen of Thescia now?". The captain looks up at me for a moment before saying, "the fastest way to become a citizen is by registering at the guild hall or adventure hall.".

After a few more minutes the captain finished the paperwork, and handed me a leather badge, it was hanging from a leather strap. The captain then said said, "here is your visitor badge, if you are truly interested in becoming a citizen here, head down the main road to either the guild hall or adventure hall. By registering with one or both, you will become a registered citizen in this kingdom."

I nodded and thanked captain Xavier, then headed out of the guard house. I turned up the main road, heading for the halls.
