Chapter 65 - CHAPTER 65: MISUNDERSTANDING LOGAN.

DIANA'S POV.

I didn't stop running until I slammed the wooden door of my tiny servant room shut behind me. The door rattled weakly, like it had no strength to stand on its own, just like me.

My breath came out in shaky waves as I pressed both hands to my burning face. The pain was still fresh, as if my skin was being peeled off again and again by invisible claws.

The moment I touched the wounded cheek, I broke.

A loud, ugly sob tore out of me as I collapsed on the floor beside my tiny bed. I couldn't hold the tears anymore. They poured out like a river that had been blocked for too long.

"I don't know what I did…" I cried, my voice cracking as the words spilled out. "I don't know what I did to deserve all this punishment!"

My voice bounced off the cramped walls. No one was there to hear me, but I kept shouting anyway, because if I didn't let it out, I thought my chest might burst open.
