LUCIUS POV.
The silence in my chamber stretched longer than I could tolerate. My patience was running thin, and I could feel it snapping with every heartbeat. Harrison stood beside me, his arms were crossed, as he was waiting for her reply and his eyes were fixed on the maid in front of us, Diana.
That cursed name again. She stood still, as she bowed her head and her hands were seriously trembling as she tried to hide her fear so she clutched the folded fabrics Luna Delilah had sent.
Harrison had asked her a simple question, and yet… she just stood there. Not a word or a sound came from her. My jaw clenched in anger. Who the hell did she think she was?
"Speak up!" I barked, my voice echoed off the marble walls. She flinched but said nothing. My anger ignited like dry leaves catching fire. "You daughter of a bitch, stop staring like a goddamn statue and answer him!"
