Chapter 573 - 573 Ragnarok - The End

Atlantic Ocean.

The chaotic battle between over a dozen Legends had churned this sea region upside down, with the sea level within dozens of kilometres already dropping by hundreds of metres.

From a higher perspective, one could witness a rather spectacular scene—

On the vast, boundless ocean, a gigantic circular waterfall had suddenly formed, its drop comparable to the world's tallest. Surging seawater cascaded downwards from the heights, only to evaporate and cycle back under terrifying pressure and extreme heat, repeating endlessly.

The intermittent roars and residual shockwaves continuously expanded the circular waterfall's area.

High above the sky, dazzling Domains and magical power had enveloped Wayne, with powerful spells raining down like a meteor shower.

This was likely the most challenging battle Wayne had fought since entering the world of magic.

After all, his opponents weren't just one person, but over a dozen Legends.

That wasn't even the key point—the most crucial factor was that Odin, Zeus, Quetzalcoatl, Amaterasu and others all wielded pseudo-divine artefacts that perfectly matched them.

With their Legend status and divine descendant bloodlines, they could nearly unleash the full power of divine artefacts.

Facing such a lineup, even a true Demigod would need to proceed with caution, with a real possibility of being defeated.

But this didn't include Wayne.

Whether it was the enhancements from his witchcraft runes, the near-tier elevation from activating World Ender, or the transcendent divine power condensed from stellar energy—all allowed him to crush these so-called deities.

The reason he had dragged the battle out until now was that Wayne had discovered a new purpose for these gods.

Under the coordinated interplay of over a dozen domains and divine artefacts, the combined power multiplied, actually exerting pressure on his Stellar Domain.

As his domain was repeatedly torn apart and reformed, it was like a rough blank, hammered and tempered by a giant mallet, becoming increasingly resilient.

His control over the Domain also grew more adept, rather than relying solely on overwhelming fundamental power to crush his opponents.

Zeus, Odin and the others similarly realised they were being used as tools, feeling both shock and fury.

They hadn't expected Wayne to be so tenacious. Even with several divine artefacts and over a dozen Legends, they couldn't kill him quickly and were instead helping their opponent grow stronger.

"We can't drag this out any longer!" Zeus felt an ominous premonition. "If this continues, he might achieve apotheosis right here!"

"I'll immobilise him!" Amaterasu went all out, a bloody hue spreading across their body as a mirror materialised behind them, projecting a peculiar beam of white light that settled firmly upon Wayne.

Burning her divine blood, she unleashed her strongest strike.

Wayne's body, along with the surrounding space-time, fell into a frozen state.

"Now!" Susanoo roared, charging his magatama with full magical power and firing a powerful energy cannon.

Odin mimed a spear-throwing motion, Gungnir in his hand flashing with terrifying rainbow radiance as it shot down like lightning.

Zeus raised his sceptre high, summoning divine thunder from the skies above as each deity unleashed their ultimate attack.

Ethereal space emitted successive crackling sounds of shattering. Dazzling, intense light erupted, and spatial tremors caused by chaotic magical power forced the deities to descend to sea level.

They stared nervously at the epicentre of the explosion.

They didn't dare probe with their spiritual senses, uncertain whether their combined assault had been effective.

"Tch!"

A beam of starlight as thick as an arm shot out from the spatial rift, striking Susano'o squarely in the chest without any defence. His eyes widened as he slowly collapsed.

Wayne dispersed the lingering shockwaves around him, scattered the mist, and reappeared before the gods, his expression regretful:

"Is that all?"

"Can't you bring me greater pressure?"

He had wanted to temper himself a few more times, so why were these gods so weak?

"Susano'o!" Amaterasu finally reacted after a long moment, roaring in grief and fury.

"Don't rush, you'll be reunited soon enough." Wayne glanced at Amaterasu, catching the corpse, as a pair of black wings slowly materialised behind him.

With the emergence of the wings, his aura underwent a tremendous transformation. The pure aura of World Ender made the gods tremble with fear.

"He still has cards up his sleeve!"

In that instant, some already felt the urge to retreat.

This Lawrence was too bizarre. His strength seemed to have no upper limit; he had withstood their combined full-power strike completely unscathed and could still keep escalating.

If they continued fighting, who knew if they would be the next to fall?

"Lord Lawrence, it was Odin and Zeus who forced me to act against you. I am the only Legend in the Jannah Divine Realm, I had no choice in this."

"I'll withdraw now, and when time permits, I will surely visit to make amends."

Allah spoke at an extremely rapid pace, then summoned the Quran that guided the void, turning to flee without looking back.

At that very moment, Orynix, who had been slacking all along, suddenly thrust out his dragon claw, striking the unprepared Allah and grievously wounding him with a single blow!

"Dragon King! I will remember this!" Allah vomited blood wildly and was sent flying far away, but he used the force to retreat. As long as he escaped this space-disrupted area, he could teleport back to his own divine realm.

Splash!

Just as a smile touched his lips, a golden chain suddenly emerged from the sea, binding him tightly and dragging him into the depths.

Simultaneously, the other gods sensed the danger.

The sea surface boiled once more, one golden spot after another appearing beneath their feet.

"Wh-what is this?"

The gods took to the skies again, the golden spots giving them an intensely perilous feeling, as if... they had encountered a natural predator.

What shocked them even more was that Orynix and Vandros did not follow; instead, they flew to Lawrence's side, completely unharmed.

"Dragon King! You!"

Odin stared in disbelief at the two dragons reverently prostrating behind Wayne.

"There will always be wise ones who abandon the darkness for the light."

Wayne let out a light laugh, spreading his arms as golden light engulfed the entire sea.

"No one escapes!" Odin shouted sharply. "If we don't eliminate them today, we will all die in the future!"

Gungnir reappeared in his hand. The other gods understood this truth, each gathering their most powerful attacks.

Red and golden lightning intertwined between heaven and earth, the newly restored space cracking once more, visible even from hundreds of miles away on the coast.

"No, you are mistaken, Odin."

Wayne looked up at them, a smile on his face. "It's not that no one is allowed to escape, but that no one can escape."

The light spots reached their peak brightness as the gods' attacks descended, converging into a massive red energy sphere. Black and red arcs of electricity flickered around it—the space could no longer withstand this immense energy and was collapsing once more.

Wayne raised both arms, his clear incantation falling upon everyone's ears.

"Bind the power of the gods, the wedge that disciplines heaven and earth, borrowing the awakened breath of stars, I shall walk alongside mortals."

"O mortals! Pray to shackle the deities!"

Boom!

Countless chains surged skyward, crashing fiercely into the red energy sphere. Terrifying residual energy waves scattered wildly, leaving Orynix and Vandros trembling with fear.

They saw Wayne actually close his eyes, listening with enjoyment to the crisp sounds of the collision.

Wasn't he worried he might lose?

So confident in his own magic?

Unfortunately, neither of the two dragons was a deity or a descendant of a god, and thus was unable to feel the immense suppression the Chains of Heaven imposed upon divine beings.

But they could see the energy sphere, once as large as an asteroid, continuously shrinking, which set their minds at ease.

Boom!

A violent explosion formed a mushroom cloud, violently hurling the two dragon Legends away. Yet their eyes remained fixed on the sky until they saw the endless golden chains piercing through the bodies of Zeus and the other gods, prompting excited draconic roars.

"We've won!"

Orynix fiercely beat his wings, disregarding the dangerous spatial turbulence, and flew back to Wayne's side, his tone exceedingly reverent.

"Lord Lawrence, your glorious deeds shall be passed down through the ages. Even ten thousand years from now, the world will still sing of your earth-shattering feat in slaying the evil gods."

Wayne remained unmoved.

Only when the Chains of Heaven brought ten corpses to their side did he speak.

"Enough flattery. Take your dragon to Asgard. My subordinate has encountered some trouble—help him resolve it, then return to Nibelung and await my orders."

Through his contract with Neptulon, Wayne had learned that the realm of Asgard still held a hidden trump card—Heimdall, combined with the power of the legendary heroes in Valhalla, was unleashing Legend-level combat prowess, preventing Neptulon from concluding the battle thus far.

"As you command." Orynix dared not hesitate in the slightest, swiftly departing with Vandros.

Wayne gathered all the 'offerings', flew out of the chaotic area, then Apparated to Takamagahara in Japan.

Tsukuyomi, who had been entangled with the magic crystal cannons, was instantly killed by a single Killing Curse from him.

"Wayne!" Sakura cried out joyfully, waving to him from atop the floating city. Wayne flew over, and both Sakura and Tomoyo threw themselves into his arms.

"I knew you would win," Tomoyo said, still trembling with lingering fear.

They had to exert every ounce of their strength and use the trump cards Wayne had given them, combined with the floating city's formidable firepower, just to have a chance at killing a single pseudo-Legend being. Yet Wayne had faced over ten true Legends.

"You've worked hard, both of you. And you too, Nicolas." Wayne patted the two girls' heads and nodded to Nicolas.

"Not hard at all, not one bit," Nicolas chuckled merrily. "Be sure to call me for such good opportunities in the future."

"You might have to wait quite a while for that," Wayne also laughed. "After this, you should enjoy a rather long retirement."

"That sounds quite nice too."

Several large-scale curses rained down again. Wayne eliminated most of the monsters, leaving the remaining few for the three others to clean up. Without pausing, he immediately headed to the Olympus Divine Realm.

The battle between Ravenclaw and Slytherin was still ongoing. Morgan had already cleared out all the minor foes and was now leisurely observing the grand battle in the sky.

Seeing that Grace held the upper hand, Wayne had no intention of intervening. He landed beside Morgan.

Before coming, Grace had begged Wayne not to interfere in her fight with Slytherin, at the cost of being unable to get out of bed for three days. Though Wayne had agreed, he would certainly have gone back on his word if she were at a disadvantage.

But judging by the current situation, Grace's victory was only a matter of time.

A hazy white halo enveloped her entire body. Slytherin's attacks, upon touching this luminous barrier, vanished without a trace, unable to stir even the slightest ripple.

This was the second divine artefact Wayne had lent Grace, besides the Archangel's Wand—the Banshee's Veil.

"So quickly resolved?" Morgan was astonished at Wayne's sudden appearance. "No one escaped, did they?"

"Not a single one. All dead," Wayne replied casually, his gaze fixed intently on the sky.

"Lord Lawrence."

Athena, drenched in blood, flew over, accompanied by a young woman clad in animal hides and carrying a bow and arrow.

Wayne turned his head, nodded at Athena, and studied the girl beside her. A flash of admiration crossed his eyes.

That lamp is so long—no, those legs are so divine!
