Chapter 571 - 571 Ragnarok – The Invasion Begins

For a flying city to successfully ascend to the skies, aside from the essential Mythallar core, several indispensable spells were required.

The most crucial was the Peak Severing Spell, which used a mountain peak as its foundation, constructing the city upon a smooth, fractured surface.

Next was the Krona Mansell Gravity Reversal Spell, which inverted the mountain peak, making it top-heavy.

Including the Levitation Spell, without exception, these three spells were all Legend-level arcane arts that could only be wielded by mages known as Grand Arcanists.

This was why every flying city represented a Grand Arcanist of the Netheril Empire.

At the moment the spell was activated, Nicolas finally saw his path forward. He understood that his future development lay solely in arcane arts—he didn't need to rely on innate magical talent. Through time, knowledge, and effort, he could break through his limits.

After drinking a Flying Potion, the group reached the summit effortlessly. Following Wayne's instructions, Nicolas activated the mechanism, and violent rumbling suddenly erupted beneath the top platform.

The mountain split apart, revealing dozens of large cavities from which pitch-black, gleaming cannon barrels extended.

"Are these the arcane crystal cannons you crafted earlier?" Sakura's eyes sparkled.

"Correct," Nicolas admired his masterpiece. "Decades of accumulated magical metals from Russia, plus centuries of my own stockpiles—all materials have been transformed into these arcane crystal cannons. They'll definitely shock those so-called divine realms."

After Tom's demise, when Russia's wizards became Wayne's dedicated miners, Nicolas took charge of direction and high-difficulty tasks. It took a full year of tireless work to complete these arcane crystal cannons.

To unleash a sufficiently powerful force, Nicolas directly used the Philosopher's Stone as the energy source for these cannons.

Under Nicolas's control, the flying city began to move, heading toward the Jannah Divine Domain at tremendous speed. He also pulled out a magic book, and Perenelle appeared on the other side. She switched the feed to a television broadcast.

All three watched with intense concentration. They only needed to wait for the legendary figures Wayne mentioned to appear, then they could boldly invade the emptied divine realm without restraint.

...

Meanwhile, on another battlefield, Wayne's confrontation with Poseidon was nearing its conclusion.

This was a contest to determine the true God of the Sea. Since deploying his Domain, Poseidon hadn't used any other magic—not just because his pride forbade it, but because his Domain, combined with the trident, represented his ultimate power.

This was the ocean! Even Zeus wouldn't dare confront him directly on his own territory!

But today, Poseidon found he had met his match.

The greatest strength of his Domain was its growing power during battle. Once the whirlpool formed, it could continuously absorb external energy, strengthening itself and steadily increasing its suction force.

Yet now, though the whirlpool's volume had doubled since its formation, its rotation speed had actually slowed.

Countless Sea Serpents tore at the whirlpool's defences. Within the three-meter radius where Wayne stood, no matter how the external environment changed, nothing could affect him.

"Poseidon."

Wayne suddenly spoke. "Even wielding a divine artefact, your Domain remains pathetically weak."

Poseidon remained silent, for all his focus and energy were devoted to controlling his domain. To speak would shatter his concentration.

Yet what he hadn't anticipated was that Wayne's assault showed no signs of intensifying!

The others should have reached their designated positions by now. Wayne knew it was time to force the other Legends out into the open.

An immense aura erupted from his body. The Sea Serpents vanished, replaced by a colossal wave hundreds of metres high, resembling a moving city wall.

With Wayne thrusting both hands forward, the tidal wall advanced slowly but inexorably toward the whirlpool.

Though both were elemental manifestations of the sea, they now served opposing masters under the combatants' control.

The water's impact force was unparalleled, yet Wayne still found it insufficient, continuously infusing it with magical power.

Compress, compress, compress again!

The originally thick wave gradually thinned, growing more condensed and solid.

Poseidon's face turned as pale as parchment, his trident-gripping hand trembling uncontrollably. He felt his endurance failing, his magical power draining rapidly with each passing second.

BOOM!

When the colossal wave met the whirlpool, the perpetually spinning vortex briefly stalled before collapsing like an overstuffed mouth unable to swallow more water.

Pchoo!

Poseidon vomited blood violently. His Domain had been shattered—forcibly terminated through the most brutal means—and he suffered severe magical backlash as expected.

Yet this proved fortunate for him, as he could finally cry for help!

"Zeus! What are you waiting for? Save me!" Poseidon roared at the sky, having sensed Wayne's killing intent and growing desperate.

In a single step, Wayne appeared before Poseidon. The God of the Sea swung his trident, attempting to repel him with magical power, but couldn't even breach Wayne's protective barrier. Wayne's palm descended toward him.

A luminous gateway had unfolded in the sky, seemingly transformed from a book, with Quranic script flickering across its frame.

A white-bearded old man bearing sixty percent resemblance to Poseidon charged out first, his staff crackling with lightning.

"Stop! Lawrence!"

The sky darkened accordingly, divine thunder falling like rain upon Wayne as Zeus hoped his attack would save Poseidon.

But something bizarre occurred.

All lightning bolts diverted as if drawn by lightning rods, striking the sea without affecting Wayne in the slightest. His hand was already pressed against Poseidon's crown.

"Don't play at being sea king wielding tridents in your next life. Too tacky."

"Oh, I forgot—you won't have a next life."

These were the final words Poseidon would ever hear. The next moment, an overwhelming stellar force invaded his body, obliterating all vitality.

Wayne collected Poseidon's corpse and trident before finally looking up at the large group of Legends appearing in the sky, greeting them with a smile.

"How unusual. Instead of hiding in your doghouses, you've come to watch the spectacle. Aren't you afraid you'll die here too?"

The 'gods' stared at Wayne, seemingly stunned by his merciless brutality, and for a moment, none responded.

It was the most enraged Zeus who spoke first: "Lawrence! I shall cleanse Olympus's disgrace with your death!"

"I think you're the one bringing shame to Olympus - you won't even spare a cow? Did you crawl out of some Indian pantheon?"

Amaterasu let out a light laugh, but Wayne turned his spearhead toward it. "Stop laughing, you gender-confused freak. Looking this disgusting, you shouldn't be scaring people out in public. With that flour-coated face, are you trying to make me vomit my breakfast?"

Amaterasu's laughter died instantly.

"Why waste more words? Let's attack together and erase him." The God of Storm Illapa raised his spear, ready to strike.

"Seal the space, don't let him escape."

The light gate transformed into a book, its pages constantly turning as countless runes flew out and vanished into the void, making the surrounding space extremely unstable and completely unusable for teleportation spells.

Since they intended to surround and kill Wayne, they had naturally made thorough preparations.

The only miscalculation was how pathetically Poseidon would die.

Dozens of world-destroying attacks erupted simultaneously. Wayne gripped the Void Staff, tearing open a spatial rift before himself that swallowed all incoming assaults.

He made his declaration:

"I told you - today is Ragnarok, but not just for Olympus! For all of you!"

"Arrogant!" Odin snorted coldly, raising high the divine weapon Gungnir.

"This sea shall be your burial ground!"

Under his leadership, over a dozen domains erupted simultaneously, freezing the entire space solid.

...

Outside.

Through the live broadcast, people witnessed Poseidon's death and saw Wayne being surrounded. But as the domains unfolded, the signal vanished.

Countless people panicked, cursing the gods for their shamelessness, while others felt Wayne had been overconfident to accept the challenge so rashly - wasn't he just waiting for an ambush?

Only those who had been given tasks in advance knew that everything was finally proceeding according to plan.

In Northern Europe, Neptulon received its orders and advanced toward the mountain peak. Wherever it passed, ice and snow melted, its footprints transforming into river networks that violently tore open the gates to the Asgard Divine Realm.

In South America, Ragnaros led the charge with thousands of fire elementals, accurately locating the Aztlan Divine Realm.

The two elemental beings began their slaughter of the divine realms. Everywhere they passed, vibrant worlds transformed into pure elemental domains.

Even with pseudo-Legend beings guarding them, they couldn't withstand the assault. Ragnaros spewed scorching magma, and after struggling for mere minutes, Tlazoltéotl's defences shattered.

If not for Wayne's requirement to preserve the bodies intact, she would have been reduced to charcoal by now.

...

Persia.

The arcane crystal cannons violently blasted open the gates to the Jannah Divine Realm, where Tomoyo and Sakura witnessed Nicolas Flamel's other side for the first time.

The Philosopher's Stone's energy was converted into pure power without restraint, supplying the arcane crystal cannons.

Each beam sweep caused earth-shattering explosions.

Nicolas excitedly waved his wand, shouting: "Yes! Just like that! Blast everything to pieces!"

"Stop!"

A pseudo-Legend from the Jannah Divine Realm blocked one beam, but before he could speak, successive attacks overwhelmed him.

"Mr Flamel, Wayne said to keep the bodies intact!" Sakura urgently persuaded, finally calming Nicolas down somewhat.

"He's all yours, Sakura."

"No problem."

Sakura took out a Clow Card and threw it into the sky.

The once-clear blue sky suddenly turned to night, stars twinkling and meteors streaking across in a breathtaking display. Yet each one carried unparalleled lethal intent.

This was Wayne's confidence in letting Sakura destroy a divine realm - the Star Card he had personally created was more than capable of killing several pseudo-Legend beings.

Its biggest flaw was that without his control, it couldn't precisely distinguish friend from foe.

But in a divine realm, there were no allies to begin with.

...

Aegean Sea, Olympus Divine Realm.

With Athena's assistance, Morgan and Grace infiltrated without alerting anyone.

"Where is Slytherin?" Grace got straight to the point.

Athena looked up towards the peak of the towering mountain. "He's in the palace of Hades, the third one down from the top."

"Lady Morgan, I'll leave the rest to you," Grace said seriously to Morgan.

"Leave it to me," Morgan replied with a weary yawn. "No one will disturb your battle."

Grace nodded slightly and immediately flew towards the mountain peak.

As she flew, a miniature sun gathered at the tip of her wand, which she aimed and threw at the palace Athena had indicated.

Boom!

After the violent explosion, the magnificent palace was reduced to rubble. Grace landed on the ground, staring into the depths.

"Salazar, your old friend is here. Won't you come out and meet me?"

After a long moment, an aged voice full of disbelief emerged from the ruins.

"Rowena?!"
