Yet it slipped in.
Not written — but bled into the manuscript.
Half form. Half wound.
Like a burn mark on a sacred page trying to deny it.
And the Pen? Frozen.
The ink halted as Rael crossed the binding.

The book screamed.
The paragraphs writhed.
Metaphors shattered like a mirror falling when meaning was spoken.
Footnotes curved — like insects scorched by light.
The layout bled.
The letters melted.
The edge of space closed in on itself — like a wound that should never be opened again.
But Rael kept walking.
He touched the empty space — where the verse refused to appear.
And he spoke — not to the voice, but to the silence forced to listen.
"I am not your creation," he said.
"I am the result of your extinction."
"You extinguished me," he whispered.
"But I remember that moment. And I haven't forgiven you."

Symptoms After Rael's Existence:
– The girl who spoke in the dialogue that was once erased
– The prince of the footnote kingdom
– The name that was once whispered between chapters, now stranded in the gutter of the page
– Seren — dead, but not yet finished
– Narex — the thread that binds all plots
– The Boy Who Remembers the First Draft
Characters who should have been erased.
But now… they remember again.
[THE RETURNING FRAGMENT]
"I should have died in Act II."
"My prophecy was crossed out — but I still dream."
"My beloved was lost in the original draft. But I still seek them."
"We are echoes. But echoes, when strong enough… become voices."
And in the silence between the margins,
The ink begins to tremble.
It no longer obeys the Writer.
It remembers too much.
Rael opens a door that was never painted by the story's plan.
A door made of regret.
