Chapter 2 - The First Step on Her Own Path

Maybe when I start working, I'll finally be able to walk my own path.

Maybe when we become people who earn money on our own, our parents have already grown old.

The path they once prepared for us has started to fade away.

It's a little painful to think about,

But maybe that's exactly the time when we begin to find our own way.

When that young woman graduated from university, she became someone with a job.

Yes by then, the path her parents had laid out for her was gone.

She was able to start walking her own road.

A few months later, she had a partner.

Life as a working adult didn't seem to have much else just going to work in the morning,

coming back in the evening,

and talking to her partner who lived far away through the phone.

One day, as she was coming home from work, she saw a small cat searching for food near the trash bin.

She decided to take it in.

From that day on, her quiet room was no longer silent

there was now a little "Meow" that made her feel comforted.

But every morning, she still got ready for work.

And every evening, she talked on the phone with her faraway partner as usual.

Time passed, and the tiny cat grew

because she had taken care of it from the beginning.

It began to love her.

But there wasn't much it could do

only play with her and sleep beside her.

A year passed…

One night, after a long phone call with her partner,

she began to cry.

Her cat saw her crying and came close.

When she saw the cat,

she cried even harder.

Because of the exhaustion, because of the loss of hope,

she softly whispered: Someone please help me.

Maybe even when we've already grown up, become someone who earns money, and walk our own path…

we still encounter something that causes problems on that path.

What could this chapter be about ?

Maybe this chapter is trying to show that no matter whether we walk the path our parents prepared for us or the one we choose ourselves every path has its own problems.

As for the cat that loves its owner… it's not so different from society today.

I love you… you love someone else… they love another…

So why don't we stop and ask ourselves what will this lead to in the end?
