Chapter 69 - Chapter 69

"All of you at once?!"

The three of them froze.

So arrogant?!

Son Gokū stepped forward, frowning. "You're... Vegeta's older brother, right?"

"I've heard about what happened between you two. I think there might be some kind of misunderstanding! I mean, we're all Saiyans—can't we just get along?"

He kept smiling. "We've been training under Lord Beerus, getting stronger together. I'm sure if we—"

Rigor narrowed his eyes, sizing up Gokū, then sneered.

"You think you understand my suffering? Spare me."

"Vegeta must die today. And no one… no one can save him."

Gokū's smile faded. Looks like this guy wasn't open to reason.

He was about to say more—

But Vegeta suddenly stepped forward and blocked him.

"Vegeta?"

Gokū blinked in surprise.

Vegeta snorted coldly, eyes locked on Rigor.

"Kakarot. No need to waste your breath. If he wants to fight… then let him come!!"

Without hesitation, he took a step forward, facing Rigor head-on with no fear.

Gokū muttered, "But—"

"No 'but'!"

Vegeta cut him off sharply.

"Blaming all your pain on someone completely unrelated… What kind of warrior does that make you?"

Then he sneered.

"You're just a sheep in wolf's clothing—a pathetic, bitter soul hiding behind a façade of strength."

Every word landed like a knife in Rigor's ears.

"You're calling me pathetic?"

Rigor snarled, his expression twisted with rage.

BOOM!!!

A terrifying aura burst from within him, like a beast of the abyss awakening from slumber.

The suffocating pressure spread through the entire God of Destruction Realm.

"W-What?!"

Gokū's face changed.

A drop of sweat rolled down Vegeta's cheek. His eyes narrowed.

"You think you understand me, huh?!"

"You were showered in luxury while I—!!!"

Rigor howled, voice trembling with hate.

Vegeta gritted his teeth, fists clenched.

"What the hell are you even saying?! When Planet Vegeta was destroyed… I was five years old!"

Luxury?!

Bullshit!

Now he understood. This guy—

He was just a twisted child, warped by the legacy of King Vegeta.

His father was gone, no way to take revenge—so he pinned it all on him.

Rigor froze. For a moment, his face faltered.

"You still got the title. You're still the 'Prince of Saiyans.'"

"And I… I'm nothing but a freak, cast out and forgotten."

Vegeta's face darkened. "So you blame me for that too?!"

He growled, "Enough! If you want to prove yourself, then shut up and fight! Kill me if you can!!"

Rigor sneered darkly.

Golden energy exploded around him as he stamped down with his right foot, launching himself forward with terrifying speed.

BOOM!!!

The ground split apart beneath him, fissures racing in every direction.

His figure vanished.

"Vegeta, watch out!!"

Gokū shouted.

Vegeta's pupils shrank.

Before he could react—

A massive figure appeared before him, fist pulled back—

BAM!!!

Vegeta took a brutal punch straight to the face, his body flung backward like a ragdoll—

—crashing into a distant mountain range.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The mountains shattered, stone and dust burying him under massive boulders.

"VEGETA!!!"

Gokū called out anxiously.

Then—

From beneath the rubble, a roar echoed out:

"HAAAAAH!!!"

Vegeta's energy surged, golden flames bursting from his body.

The sheer pressure swept outward like a wave, golden light radiating in all directions.

When the light cleared—

His body was covered in red fur, a long red tail swaying behind him.

His hair had grown long, reaching his waist, and his once-black eyes now gleamed with golden pupils.

Super Saiyan 4.

Vegeta clenched his fists and grinned wildly.

"This… is Super Saiyan 4!!!"

He turned to Rigor, expecting to see shock on his face.

But Rigor only gave a mocking grin.

"That's what you call 'Super Saiyan 4'?"

Vegeta's face sank. "What do you mean?!"

Rigor chuckled coldly.

"My dear little brother… allow me to show you what real Super Saiyan 4 looks like!!"

He clenched both fists, and his energy began to rise.

"HAAAAAAAH!!!"

The ground quaked as Rigor's power surged—

Even the God Realm itself began to tremble.

Gokū's eyes widened.

Broly stood silent, but in his eyes… a flicker of surprise.

This energy… might even surpass his own golden form!

No wonder he was called terrifying.

On the sidelines—

Beerus stared at Rigor.

"…His ki feels different from Gokū and the others."

He remembered Rigor's fight with Aishi.

Hadn't had a proper look then.

But now, up close—

He saw the truth.

Rigor's ki wasn't like that of Gokū or the typical Saiyan.

It was something darker, more violent.

Almost bloodthirsty.

It reminded him of Broly.

He glanced over. Broly had been staying with him for a while.

Normally gentle, but in battle—he became a berserker.

Pure instinct, pure savagery.

Whis had been trying to help him control it.

Gokū and Vegeta, though—

While they had Saiyan battle-lust, it wasn't the same.

Their energy was stable. Controlled.

That gave them an edge when training God Ki or mastering full-power forms.

Broly, on the other hand—

His emotions were wild. His energy unstable.

He couldn't train God Ki even if he wanted to.

Whis had since stopped pushing him toward that path.

"Looks like… Saiyans really do come in different breeds,"

Beerus muttered.

Beside him—

Whis smiled gently. "Indeed, Lord Beerus."

Beerus glanced at him.

Whis looked at the four fighters ahead, his eyes glinting faintly.

"Take Broly and Rigor for example—their chances of learning God Ki are almost zero."

"Their Saiyan blood is too pure. The berserker traits dominate their minds. Wanting them to control divine energy? Nearly impossible."

Beerus nodded.

Indeed—learning God Ki wasn't the hardest thing.

But it did require intense control over one's energy and emotions.

For most, that came with practice.

But Rigor and Broly?

Their bloodline was too wild. Their instincts too overwhelming.

They couldn't suppress their emotions—let alone maintain stable energy.

"So," Whis said softly, "every advantage comes with its drawbacks."

"They might advance rapidly on the path of Saiyan evolution… but other routes? Not so much."

Beerus nodded again.

"So in contrast… Gokū and Vegeta, seemingly ordinary, actually have more paths available to them."

"They can walk any route… as long as they put in the work."

Saiyans truly were… a mysterious race.

Gokū and Vegeta might not have legendary talent—

But they could pursue any transformation.

All they needed was effort.

Suddenly, Beerus' expression shifted.

"Wait… what about Aishi?!"

Damn—he almost forgot!

The strongest Saiyan right now…

"Hmm…"

Whis also paused, eyes narrowing.

Right. What about Aishi?

He was unlike the other four entirely.

He could train God Ki.

He could achieve Super Saiyan 4.

And he did both… with ease.

He was a warrior by nature—

But never lost himself to rage.

That was strange.

After a moment of thought, Whis murmured:

"Perhaps… he's special?"

That was the only explanation they had.

Comparing all four Saiyans here—

Aishi's strengths in every area were maxed out.

Beerus mused, "Yeah… I think so too."

Whis smiled.

"Didn't he take your sister as his master? Maybe I'll ask her someday about his bloodline…"

Vados was far more knowledgeable than either of them.

BOOM!!

Back on the battlefield—

The ground beneath Rigor shattered as he powered up.

Golden flames erupted skyward, piercing the darkened skies of the God Realm.

The air howled with wind. The earth quaked.

Soon after—

The overwhelming golden aura faded to a dense, misty glow, faint lightning crackling within it.

Suddenly—

Rigor's form emerged.

His body was covered in deep crimson fur, his muscles bulging with power.

A monstrous pressure radiated from him.

A massive gust roared outward.

Vegeta's face changed—

His eyes widened in shock.

This ki… it's terrifying!!!
