The Next Day
The next day, Zeiron went to the academy as usual. However, today was the first-semester exam, which would determine class promotions.
As usual, Zeiron's handsomeness attracted the attention of the female students, earning him the nickname: "Woman Poison." Many admiring glances followed his steps, but Zeiron remained silent with a cold expression.
While walking down the corridor, he passed Yan Feng. Their eyes met—sharp, cold gazes—before looking away. The air between them seemed to freeze.
Elvaria in the Library
Upon arriving in class, Zeiron didn't see Elvaria. He immediately asked his friend.
Zeiron: "Dung Bao, why isn't Elvaria in class? Do you know where she is?"
Dung Bao: "Ah, Elvaria left class earlier. Seems like she went to the library."
Zeiron: "Thanks!"
Without waiting, Zeiron ran straight to the library.
There, he found Elvaria sitting at a table, excitedly reading a book on ice sword techniques. Her enthusiasm was clear. Zeiron paused for a moment watching her, then approached slowly.
Zeiron: "Elvaria, why are you studying this?"
Elvaria (startled): "Eh, Zei'r? Why are you in the library?"
Zeiron: "I should be asking. I was looking for you because you weren't in class."
Elvaria (smirking playfully): "Why? Do you miss me?"
Zeiron (tapping her forehead): "You fool. Never mind, I can help you master this technique."
Elvaria (eyes sparkling): "You can?! How?!"
Zeiron instructed her to sit cross-legged, then held her hands, forming a hexagonal crystal pattern to channel ice energy. Elvaria blushed, but complied.
Zeiron: "First, focus the ice energy in your palms. Imagine the sword while concentrating. The energy must be stable for the shape to be perfect."
Elvaria nodded and tried. When she succeeded, Zeiron continued:
Zeiron: "Good. Now condense your energy. Imagine iron being forged tightly. Press as hard as you can."
Carefully, Elvaria followed his guidance. Slowly, an ice sword formed in her hands.
Elvaria (cheering): "I did it! My very own ice sword!"
Unconsciously, she hugged Zeiron.
Zeiron (surprised): "Uh... what are you doing, Elva?"
Elvaria (blushing, quickly letting go and hitting his stomach): "Nothing! Forget it!"
Zeiron: "Hey, why did you hit my stomach?"
Zeiron: "Enough, let's go back to class."
Elvaria: "Okay!"
The Exam Begins
In class, Teacher Li Fen entered and made an important announcement.
Li Fen: "Today, the first-semester exam begins. This exam will determine your class placement. Remember, during the exam, you can only rely on yourselves."
All the students gathered in the large arena. The exam leader stood on the central stage.
Exam Leader: "This exam will be witnessed by the principal, the king, and the emperor! A great honor for Alcaesar Academy."
The students cheered: "Honor the King! Honor the King!"
Exam Leader: "Alright, let's begin!"
First Battle: Luo Meng vs Ruo Shi
The opening battle was between Luo Meng, a poison expert, and Ruo Shi, a beautiful girl with water talent.
Ruo Shi attacked with the Spinning Water Cage, but Luo Meng dodged and unleashed Demon Snake Poison. Ruo Shi protected herself with a sharp water vortex, neutralizing the poison.
Luo Meng: "Feel this! King of Poison Formation!"
A massive formation appeared, summoning a poison demon. The students were shocked.
Student: "That's a forbidden formation! How can he master it?!"
Ruo Shi remained undaunted. She summoned the Sea Guardian Dragon Formation, a giant blue dragon coiling beside her.
Ruo Shi: "Let's see who's stronger!"
Their attacks collided, creating a massive explosion. Luo Meng's poison was neutralized by the sea dragon, resulting in a crushing defeat.
Exam Leader: "The winner is Ruo Shi!"
The arena erupted in applause.
Second Battle: Tuo Yi vs Xie We Shu
Tuo Yi, arrogant and proud, faced the serious Xie We Shu.
Tuo Yi immediately attacked with the Emperor's Golden Yellow Punch, but Xie We Shu blocked with the Celestial Sword, shimmering purple, white, red, yellow, and green. The impact shook the surrounding air.
They unleashed high-level formations: Tuo Yi's Emperor Cerberum and Xie We Shu's Celestial Guardian. Shadows of ancient entities appeared behind them.
Student: "We are witnessing living legends! Two ancient powers clashing!"
Finally, both unleashed their ultimate techniques: Emperor's Peak vs Celestial's Highest Point. A blinding explosion illuminated the arena.
When the dust settled, Tuo Yi lay burned and defeated, while Xie We Shu remained standing despite her injured leg.
Exam Leader: "This battle is a draw. Both have unleashed their final powers, so both win!"
Battle: Elvaria vs Yan Feng
Next, Elvaria faced Yan Feng. Upon entering the arena, Yan Feng immediately opened the Level 5 Yin-Yang Demon Formation. Elvaria had to defend using the Hell Ice Artifact Defense.
The heavy clashes injured Elvaria, but she did not give up. She recalled the ice technique she had just learned with Zeiron.
Elvaria: "Thousand Absolute Ice Slashes!"
The attack cracked Yan Feng's formation, but Elvaria was thrown back. Yan Feng teleported beside her using Yin-Yang technique.
Yan Feng (whispering in her ear): "Give up. Kneel before me, maybe I'll spare you."
He slammed Elvaria to the ground, beating her mercilessly until she bled.
Yan Feng: "Still not giving up?"
Elvaria (panting, face covered in blood): "I... will not surrender to trash like you!"
Furious, Yan Feng unleashed the Ten-Star Yin-Yang Annihilation Formation. As the deadly energy was about to strike, Zeiron's voice rang out.
Zeiron: "Enough!"
Time froze, halting the entire arena. Only the king's eyes could still move.
Zeiron stood from the spectator seats, using the Three Steps of Heaven, stepping forward with one step. His eyes emitted a white Star of David with deep neon green light. The Satan King aura radiated, pressing down on the entire arena. With one step, Zeiron appeared before Yan Feng.
With a single punch, Yan Feng was obliterated.
The king was shocked, sweat running cold down his body.
Zeiron healed Elvaria with the Universal Healing Formation, fully restoring her, then stepped forward again, appearing before the king with the Satan King aura.
Zeiron: "If you or anyone dares to touch Elva or this world, I will destroy everything."
Zeiron returned to his seat, while the king, sweating nervously, swallowed hard, thinking: "Who is this child really...?"
The king felt threatened by his gaze.
Time resumed. The king forced the exam leader to end the battle, ordering Elvaria to be declared the winner or he would kill the leader. Everyone was stunned to see Yan Feng dead and Elvaria fully healed.
The exam leader continued, declaring Elvaria the winner, by the king's will.
Final Battle: Zeiron vs Ji Xie
Finally, Zeiron stepped forward to face Ji Xie, an elf.
Ji Xie: "Greetings, please guide me."
Zeiron: "Greetings. Let's begin."
Ji Xie attacked with the Sky-Support Pillar, while Zeiron countered with the Rotating 3D Cube. Their clash caused a massive explosion.
Ji Xie summoned the Archangel Cosmic spirit, startling Zeiron slightly. Zeiron activated his Emerald Energy, forming a mysterious sword that shimmered like a cosmic blade.
Their battle shook the arena, destroying protections made by the king, emperor, and principal. Fortunately, the Academy of Alcaesar's Ancestral Defense Formation contained the damage.
Eventually, Zeiron defeated Ji Xie. The elf bowed in respect, acknowledging his defeat.
The exam leader recorded the Zeiron vs Ji Xie match as a draw, under the king's order.

After all battles concluded, the rankings were announced:

Those in the top five were promoted to Class 3, the top ten to Class 2, and the rest failed.
