At Cape MOD, Clyde, Lynn, Lucy, and Lana watched as MachGaogamon, Boutmon, Myotismon, and Hisyaryumon faced off with Regalecusmon.
"You humans and Digimon will never destroy this pillar." said Regalecusmon. "If you and your other allies swear your alliegiance to me and my allies, we may spare you."
"We will never serve you or anyone allied with you." replied MachGaogamon.
"Yeah; so why don't you move aside so they can tear that pillar down?" asked Lana.
"I will not let you destroy that pillar." replied Regalecusmon.
"In case you're not good at counting, there's four of us, and only one of you." Lynn Jr says to Regalecusmon.
"Don't think because you have the advantage in numbers means you stand a chance against me." replied Regalecusmon as he holds his sword towards the Ultimate Level Digimon.
"We'll see about that you overgrown crawdad!" shouts Boutmon before he, along with the other Ultimate Level partner Digimon charged at Regaleusmon. Boutmon tries to kick Regalecusmon, but he blocks Boutmon's kick with his pincer, then slashes Boutmon with his sword.
Hisyaryumon tried to ram his head into Regalecusmon, but he smacks Hisyaryumon aside with his pincer, knocking Hisyaryumon to the ground.
Myotismon tries to punch Regalecusmon, but he blocks Myotismon's fist with his pincer, then slashes Myotismon with his sword, knocking Myotismon to the ground.
MachGaogamon flies at Regalecus, prepared to punch him, but Regalecusmon slashes him with his sword, and knocks him to the ground.
"You bilge rats are no match for me!" said Regalecusmon.
"We'll see about that!" replied Lynn.
"Buden Blast!" shouts Boutmon before he releases energy blasts from his palms at Regalecusmon; he deflects them with his sword.
"He deflected them all." said Lana. Regalecusmon charges at Boutmon and slashes him with his sword, knocking Boutmon back.
"Let's see him deflect this; Lightning Heel!" said Boutmon. He jumps up and lifts up a leg; electricity surrounded his foot. Boutmon brings his leg down towards Regalecusmon, but Regalecusmon catches Boutmon's leg with his pincer, stopping his attack.
"Briona Strike!" shouts Regalecusmon as he thrusts his sword into Boutmon's chest; a burst of electricty comes out from Regalecusmon's sword into Boutmon, creating an explosion that sends Boutmon flying back and lands on the ground before he De-Digivolved back into Bibimon.
"Bibimon!" said Lynn as she runs to her partner and picks him up in her arms. "Are you okay, Bibimon?"
"Yes; I'm sorry I couldn't beat him." replied Bibimon.
"It's okay." replied Lynn.
Meanwhile, Hisyaryumon flies at Regalecusmon.
"Heavenly Dragon Crystal Sphere!" shouts Hisyaryumon before he throws his crystal orbs at Regalecusmon; he deflects them with his sword.
"You have to do better than that!" shouts Regalecusmon.
"Okay, you asked for it!" replied Hisyaryumon. "Dragon-forming Blade!" Hisyaryumon transforms into a katana before swinging himself down at Regalecusmon, but Regalecusmon catches him with his pincer and throws him onto the ground; Hisyaryumon returns to his regular form. Regalecusmon aims his pincer at Hisyaryumon.
"Reactor Discharge!" shouts Regalecusmon before firing a powerful blast of electric energy from his pincer that hits Hisaryumon, knocking him to the ground where he De-Digivolves back into Pukamon. Lana runs to Pukamon and picks him up.
"Speak to me, Pukamon." Lana says to her partner.
"That hurt." replied Pukamon. Myotismon leaps at Regalecusmon
"Crimson Lightning!" shouts Myotismon before a stream of red energy appears in his hand and he swings it at Regalecusmon; he cuts through it with his sword. He then swings his pincer at Myotismon and hits him, knocking him to the ground; Myotismon gets back up. "Grisly Wing!" Myotismon releases hundreds of bats at Regalecusmon.
"Reactor Discharge!" shouts Regalecusmon before firing a powerful blast of electricity out of his pincer at Myotismon's attack, destroying all the bats.
"Not the bats." said Lucy.
"Briona Strike!" shouts Regalecusmon before thrusting his sword into Myotismon's chest before it releases a burst of electricty into Myotismon that sends him flying before he lands near Lucy and he De-Digivolves back into Tsumemon. "Not a wooden stake, but just as effective."
"Are you all right, Tsumemon?" Lucy asked her partner as she picks him up.
"I'm fine, Lucy." replied Tsumeon.
"You Digimon filth even a challenge to me." said Regalecusmon.
"You haven't won yet!" shouts MachGaogamon before his thrusts flared and he flies at Regalecusmon. "Winning Knuckle!" MachGaogamon throws a powerful punch at Regalecusmon, but he catches MachGaogamon's arm, stopping his attack.
"Briona Strike!" shouts Regalecusmon before he thrusts his sword into MachGaogamon that sends a burst of electricty into him that sends him flying, but he uses his thrusters to keep himself in mid-air.
"Howling Cannon!" shouts MachGaogamon before he lets out a loud howl that releases sonic waves from his mouth at Regalecusmon; he shields his head with his pincer to block the waves.
"Reactor Discharge!" shouts Regalecusmon as he aims his pincer at MachGaogamon and fires a powerful blast of electricty at him, hitting him, and sending him flying into the ground and he De-Digivolves back into Gaomon.
"Man, this is not good." said Lana as she held Pukamon close to her.
"Do you surrender?" asked Regalecusmon.
"Never!" shouts Gaogamon as he gets up.
"Are you sure, Gaomon?" Clyde asked his partner.
"As long as I'm still here, I'll never give up." replied Gaomon.
"Well, since you won't surrender, I guess I'll have to destroy you." said Regalecusmon before he began charging at Gaomon. Clyde looked at Regalecusmon with determination and his artifact begins to glow bright blue and a button on his artifact glows brightly. Clyde pushes the glowing button on his artifact and a blue beam comes out of it and onto Gaomon.
"Gaogmon, Warp Digivolve to..." said Gaomon before he turns into a glowing blue Gaogamon, then a glowing blue MachGaogamon, and finally, MirageGaogamon.
"...MIRAGEGAOGAMON!" shouts MirageGaogamon.
"I see you still have some fight in you." Regalecusmon says to MirageGaogamon. "Too bad it still won't be enough to defeat me."
"We shall see." replied MirageGaogamon. Regalecusmon charges at MirageGaogamon and swings his sword at him, but he blocks his sword with his left wrist blades. MirageGaogamon swings his right wrist blades at Regalecusmon, but he catches his arm with his pincer. Both Mega Level Digimon struggle to push each other back.
"Is this the best you can do, MirageGaogamon?" asked Regalecusmon.
"No; Full Moon Blaster!" replied MirageGaogamon before the mouth on his chest armor opened and a blast of energy fires out of it and it blasts Regalecusmon, knocking him back.
"You'll pay for that!" shouts Regalecusmon before he swings his sword and slashes MirageGaogamon, knocking him back.
"Quick Move!" shouts MirageGaogamon before he dashes at Regalecusmon with great speed and slashes him with his arm blades, knocking him back. Regalecusmon leaps at MirageGaogamon and swings his sword at him, but he blocks it with his wrist blades; Regalecusmon suddenly swings the tail on the back of his head and hits MirageGaogamon across the face with it, making him stumble back.
"Reactor Discharge!" shouts Regalecusmon before he holds out his pincer towards MirageGaogamon and fires a blast of electrical energy at him and it blasts him, knocking him to the ground; he gets back up. "Have you had enough, MirageGaogamon?!"
"No." replied MirageGaogamon. "Gale Claw!" MirageGaogamon runs at Regalecusmon and slashes him with his arm blades, knocking him back, and he falls to the ground. "Have you had enough, Regalecusmon?"
"No; I'll have my fill once I've destroyed you and all your human and Digimon allies." replied Regalecusmon.
"That will never happen." replied MirageGaogamon.
"That's telling him, MirageGaogamon!" said Clyde.
"Silence, human!" replied Regalecusmon before facing MirageGaogamon. "Shall we continue our battle, MirageGaogamon?"
"We shall." replied MirageGaogamon. He and Regalecusmon begin circling each other until Regalecusmon stops and aims his pincer at MirageGaogamon. As he prepared to dodge, he looks behind him and a look of concern appeared in his face.
"Reactor Discharge!" shouts Regalecusmon before he fired a blast of electricity at MirageGaogamon; he crosses his arms to shield himself from Regalecusmon's blast.
"Why didn't MirageGaogamon dodge?" asked Lynn.
"We're right behind him, Lynn." replied Clyde. "MirageGaogamon knew it he did dodge, Regalecusmon's attack would've hit us instead."
"So, he took that blast to protect us?" asked Lana.
"Yeah; thanks, MirageGaogamon." said Clyde.
"I will do whatever it takes to protect you and your friends, Clyde." said MirageGaogamon.
"Your desire to protect those pitiful humans and their partners will be your downfall, MirageGaogamon." said Regalecusmon.
"No; it gives me the strength to push myself forward." replied MirageGaogamon. Regalecusmon aims his pincer at MirageGaogamon.
"Reactor Discharge!" shouts Regalecusmon.
"Sonic Move!" shouts MirageGaogamon as he charges at Regalecusmon with speed faster than the blinking eye and uses his arm blades to knock Regalecusmon's pincer up, causing the attack to fire into the sky.
"Briona Strike!" shouts Regalecusmon as he thrusts his sword into MirageGaogamon's shoulder; a surge of electricty goes through Regalecusmon's sword into MirageGaogamon's shoulder that causes a burst of electricty to knock MirageGaogamon to the ground. Regalecusmon walks to MirageGaogamon and pins one of his shoulders down with one of his feet.
"MirageGaogamon!" shouts Clyde.
"You've put up quite the battle, but it's time to finish you off." said Regalecusmon as he lifts up his sword. "Any last words?"
"Just three; Full Moon Blaster!" shouts MirageGaogamon before the mouth on his chest armor opens and fires an energy beam that blasts Regalecusmon's face, making him stumble back; MirageGaogamon leaps back to his feet. "Quick Move!" MirageGaogamon dashes at Regalecusmon with great speed and uses his claws to knock Regalecusmon's sword out of his hand and it lands into the water.
"My sword!" shouts Regalecusmon.
"Let's see you defeat me without your weapon, Regalecusmon." said MirageGaogamon.
"If I can slice you to pieces, I'll cut you into them with my pincer, you scurvy Digimon!" shouts Regalecusmon before he charges at MirageGaogamon with his pincer raised.
"Double Crescent Mirage!" shouts MirageGaogamon as he fires crescent moon-shaped shockwaves from his hands and they hit Regalecusmon.
"AAAAAAUGH!" yelled Regalecusmon before he falls to the ground.
"All right, MirageGaogamon!" cheered Clyde.
"He did it!" said Lynn Jr.
"That was great!" said Lana. Lucy nods in response. MirageGaogamon walks to Regalecusmon as he lifts his head and glares at him.
"You may have defeated me, MirageGaogamon; but you'll never close the opening between both worlds." said Regalecusmon. "My allies with avenge my defeat and destroy your friends; human and Digital."
"That will never happen." replied MirageGaogamon. Regalecusmon head falls to the ground and he disintegrates. MirageGaogamon then De-Digivolves back into Gaomon; Clyde runs to him.
"You were incredible, Gaomon." Clyde says to his partner.
"Thank you, Clyde." replied Gaomon.
"Well, that takes care of Regalecusmon." said Lynn Jr.
"Now we just have to take care of the pillar." said Lucy.
"Guys, look." said Lana, pointing towards where the pillar is. Everyone else looks to see the pillar disintegrating.
"What's happening to it?" asked Tsumemon.
"I'm guessing Regalecusmon was linked to that pillar." said Gaomon.
"So, when Regalecusmon was destroyed, that pillar went with it?" asked Bibimon.
"I guess so." replied Gaomon.
"Come on; let's get back to Floatia and tell everyone about this." said Clyde. He and everyone else begin walking back towards Floatia. Unbeknownst to them, a Vilemon was watching from one of the ships.
Meanwhile, with Volcanicdramon and Blastmon, they had already saw what transpired at Cape MOD.
"Regalecusmon, defeated?!" asked Blastmon.
"Yes; these Digimon and their human partners are not to be underestimated." replied Volcanicdramon.
"We will make them pay for Regalecusmon's destruction." said Blastmon.
"They will pay; we and GranKuwagamon will see to it." said Volcanicdramon.
MirageGaogamon has defeated Regalecusmon and a pillar has been destroyed. Can the other dark Mega Level Digimon and the remaining pillars be destroyed? Wait and find out.
