Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

I immediately go to the [Character] section. It gives me two options: the first one is [Self-Insert] and [Reincarnation]. The first one is the option for me to use my previous body in another world. No. I don't want that. Even when my disease is gone and will never come back, I don't want that option.

That leaves me with the second option. I widen my eyes when I see there is an option to reincarnate into something other than human. It is perfect with the plan I have in mind from the list of powers I saw earlier.

I immediately chose the [Reincarnation] option. I smile a little when I see the race I can be in. Without hesitation, I chose Robot. I have a plan, and it involves me being a robot. I widen my eyes at the sight in front of me. I can upgrade my new robot body and make it more powerful.

I look at the older man and say.

"Are you sure you let me choose anything in the [Character] section?"

Instead of taking back on his word, the man grins and says.

"Go ahead. I am liking your plan so far."

Right. He can read my mind. Oh, well. That is good for me because I choose all the things I want from this thing. I chose my chassis as a [Giant Mecha], granting me 20 module slots. I grin a little when I see another section open up for me to choose modules to upgrade my body.

With a grin on my face, I add all the upgrades I can add, and when I am done, I go to the [Perks] section.

This section contains a lot of choices, but I immediately know which one I need to take. The first two are [Blank] and [Mental Barrier]. The first one prevents anyone from gathering information about me. It prevents anyone who has any clairvoyant ability from searching for my future and past. However, it does not prevent anyone from doing it directly. It only prevents abstract creatures that can see the future from seeing my past and future.

The second one is a must. Even though I am a machine, I don't want anyone trying to control my mind, senses, or emotions. This protection adapts to the form I take. Not only that, it also extends to cover viruses, hacking, and other forms of subversion or reprogramming.

I scroll through the list and encounter something that lets me open up a few locked options in my [Character] section. It is called [Esoteric Construction]. This perk makes my body now incorporate esoteric components such as magitech or other advanced technologies. It means that my body can now handle something like magic or the force.

Before choosing the next perk, I return to the [Character] section. It does not take long for me to pick up all the changes and return to the [Perks] section.

The next perk I want is [Invictus]. As the name suggests, it ensures my will is absolute, boundless, and unbreakable. It always makes my willpower high and cannot be broken. Simple, but powerful.

The last one is another defence. It is called [Naturalized Foreigner]. It makes me immune to any negative concepts and restrictions resulting from a setting's interactions, rules, and metaphysics. That means I don't need to worry if the universe nerfs me in case that world has some sort of abstract restriction. This perk only affects the negative one and ignores the positive one.

It gives an example. The first one is 'Whereas taking the Psyker power may have made you vulnerable to the Warp corrupting or devouring your soul in the 40k universe, now you're treated as if you were utilizing your power in a foreign setting with no Warp, no soul, and no corruption, regardless of whether you possess a soul or not.'

I am not very familiar with the 40k universe, but I read one of the books early in my day, but was never able to finish it. Not because it is boring, but because I can't find a good time to finish it. I am the type of person who wants to be undisturbed when I am reading a good book, and the Ciaphas Cain book is a good book.

Anyway, what I want to say is that I know Pysker is a powerful but dangerous power because of the warp. With that place calm, using Psychic power will be safer. What? Even though I don't have time to read that book, I have time to read the wiki page.

What I want to say is that this perk will be fantastic in the long run.

And now, I arrive at the [Powers] section. I already read through this, and I already have powers in mind. The first one is [Android Platform], which changes my body into an android, a robot that looks like a human. However, I upgraded it twice.

The first upgrade makes my body into a massive robot. This upgrade is called [Mechanized Platform], which turns my Android body into a robot of war and increases my fabricator size and power, which lets me create an android with my new body.

To get the last upgrade, I need to buy a power called [War Machines Without End (TA/SC/PA)]. This is the reason why I do all of these. This is the power that gives me all the knowledge of a COMMANDER in Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander, and Planetary Annihilation games.

I love those games, and that's the reason why I picked these powers.

If I only pick the last one, it will only give me the knowledge of how to make what the COMMANDER can do. I am not a COMMANDER but rather someone who can create all the techs. I am still human, but can upgrade my body with enough time and resources.

Because of my previous choices, I will be a proper COMMANDER and become the ultimate War Machine.

And I am not done.

I bought the last upgrade called [BESToWs] with the remaining points. With this upgrade, my previous weapon turns into a massive Seraphim Chronotron Cannon, and there is a massive nanite dispenser to let me build all the things the COMMANDER can do in the games.

Army? I can make them in a minute. Orbital weapon? You better stop me, or I can make one easily. Yeah. I am the ultimate war machine. A perfect thing against the infinite tide of Grimm coming my way.

The other thing is that this power upgrades the [War Machines Without End (TA/SC/PA)] power and gives me more techs from different RTS games like Grey-Goo, Beyond All Reason, and Mechabellum. Sadly, some of those techs need special materials to work and require time to research to create an alternative.

Not only that, but my capabilities to reverse-engineer all tech that I get my hands on have increased to the highest degree. The reason? It upgrades my brain and lets me refine and enhance all technologies at my disposal. This includes even those that defy logic, such as psychic and magical powers.

When I am done, I put the tablet on the table and say.

"I am done."

"You know… You are the first agent under my wing who chose something other than human, you know? The others always want to keep a semblance of their humanity."

"Well, I don't mind shedding my human body. That disease messes up my thinking, you know? I don't want to experience that kind of thing once again."

"I see. Anyway, good luck, Andre. Clean the solar system, and your mission will be over."

He snaps his finger, and I watch the surroundings change.

"Have fun."

"Wait! What is your name?!"

"Call me Rob"
