The adults reacted faster than the children. Adrenaline was rushing. Nimo grabbed Castiel, Sunshine grabbed Earl, Hades grabbed Ariel. Out of the door they ran, all the way outside the house. When they finally came to a stop, heaving with thudding hearts, they put the children down.
"Is everyone okay?" Hades asked.
They checked on the children first, then each other. Nobody had been bitten or harmed during the short escape.
Sunshine's hands sparked, her eyes frosty like ice itself. "I am going back inside." She declared.
"No, I will go." Hades pulled her arm.
"I have a dragonoid in the living room." Nimo shared. "How did a snake even get inside my house."
"How many more are on the base?" Hades reached for a walkie-talkie around his belt. "We should...."
"It is not a real snake." Ariel announced in a raised voice. "It is a training tool I got from Dr. Chloe. She assured me that it is not harmful at all."
