Elize came to Velmir and gently held him in her arms as she spoke in a warm voice, "Don't cry, I know your loneliness." To Velmir, this was something which truly tortured him, and now someone had come to heal the wounds.
"Why are the two of you so much alike?" - His voice was weak as he held tight, like a man who had finally found his old love. However, he felt that he had forgotten something... All at once, memory shards floated into his mind. Then-
A memory surfaced. On the balcony of a party, two children sat under the stars, and on their faces, happiness drew the lines. It was that day, the day they first met. But they formed a pact.
"Even when we're in pain, we have to remember the other! And... call me____"
The little girl said to the boy, but he couldn't hear it, and slowly, the imaginary scene faded away.
Velmir raised his head and looked at Elize, "Why did it feel like... I've lived in it...?" Her face was his comfort, but then, he was dazed, and fragments of an "unknown" person appeared, replacing Elize. He couldn't see her face, but he knew she was once his love. "Seo..Yeo-?" - But he can't remember it.
Her presence slowly faded, as if it were swallowed by the mist of the stars. "It's....this place." - Once again, he found himself "appearing" in the stars' realm, but this time, the real Velmir, who was the light figure, now no longer hated him.
Instead, the figure gradually approached Seo Wero as it said. "Live for me... and for her." - Every word seemed odd, yet Seo Wero had a feeling that everything happened because of Elize Cielfir. "We had a connection." - He assumed as his tears dropped onto the water ground without realizing it.
The figure then raised its hand and touched Seo Wero's forehead. The stars blinked as water dissolved into memories.
In a matter of seconds, the world of night and water was now replaced by a beautiful white - azure mansion surrounded by forest and far away, dragons flying in the sky of stars.
The scene then revealed a black-haired child playing with his mother. While they were having fun, far away, an army got closer and closer, with two white-hair boys, that's about 15 years old, being imprisoned.
One of the boys then formed flame with his hand and fired at the troops, while rescuing the other boy, and ran to where the small family was playing with most of the troops behind them.
They ran, yet the younger one seemed to have been poisoned, and started to bleed in his eyes. The older brother quickly checked his brother and fled into the mansion with a speed that looked like he had reached the speed of sound. Whereas the troops were slowed down for no reason, and they couldn't catch up to him.
But, in the sky, a white dragon descended onto the ground, and two knights jumped out from the dragon's head. They were a man and a girl, protected by white-metal armor. In the blink of an eye, the man unexpectedly sped up while the girl pointed her hands at the two boys.
The moment she gave a sign, creatures from the forest rushed towards them, yet they didn't let it go. The older brother then took out a watch and broke it as the two disappeared. Everything happened in front of Seo Wero's eyes, but he didn't question any of it, just like he always knew.
The scene once changed again, but this time it was in the garden of that same mansion.
"You cursed child!"
"Look at him."
"Useless"
...
He was surrounded by many people, he couldn't see their faces, and yet he barely heard them talking. The clearest thing that he felt was that they were talking about him, while his mother was crying on the ground.
"Ah, mom?" - That is when he realized he wasn't observing it, he was experiencing it. He looked at the sorrowful mother, trying to wipe her tears. But...
"Enough, it's all for now." - The whisper of the light figure slipped into his ears as the world collapsed and....He opened his eyes, everything hadn't changed as if time hadn't passed, and he was still in Elize's arms.
He could feel her breath; it was warm, so he wanted to stay. However, he acknowledged that if someone saw this scene, it wouldn't be good for Elize. Therefore, he slowly slipped from her embrace.
"Are you okay?" - Elize asked in a caring tone as if she felt that Velmir was slowly moving backwards. "Thank you, Lady Elize, I'm fine." - Velmir moved back, keeping a distance. He lied, it's what he had to.
"Call me with my name, hmp!" - Elize answered back with a puffed cheek. Velmir didn't reply; instead, he handled it with a smile.
"It's late, we should come back, Elize." - He pulled out a random reason while steadily turning around and walked away, leaving Elize in confusion. He understood that he wanted to feel her warmth more, but his half self didn't let him do so; he tried to be alone... to run away from his guilt.
Elize was left behind, dazzled and feeling betrayed, she walked towards the garden in tears. "...You forgot our... promise... Velmir Everfrost."
Above the stone patterns of the training area, Velmir sat on the bench, and he cried while smiling. "Mom...I miss you..." - He spoke as his tears dropped to the ground. It wasn't because of homesickness, but this time, because of "Velmir" and Elize. "They weren't one...but..." - His voice was shaking.
He wiped his tears, over and over, until he couldn't cry anymore. He looked up at that motion, and someone from the forest slowly came to Velmir. It was Lucas; he wore the same suit as the day they had met, unlike his Duke suit and the red cloak embroidered with embers he wore today.
It was the same atmosphere, the same vampire fang on the corner of his lip. And Velmir was also in pain, but in a different one, one that came from Velmir's soul. Lucas slowly swept his gaze to Velmir and took a seat next to him.
"Velmir, I know your pain. We both have secrets that...we couldn't tell each other, but Velmir, I....." - Lucas paused for a moment. "Trust me." - He continued as his eyes glittered like tears could come out of them anytime.
"I know, it sounds like a selfish request, but I promise you, in the future, I'll tell you everything... just, not now..." - Velmir, who was crying, could see the pain in Lucas' trembling voice. Even so, Lucas added, "You don't need to remember me, Velmir....just remember, you were never...alone." - His words broke the silence as Velmir cried out in pain.
The first time they'd met, he didn't know the "pain" that Lucas mentioned in the old Velmir. But now, he knew and felt it. The pain of losing a mother. And now, the only thing he clung to in this moment... is their friendship.
"So Lucas..... tomorrow will we ....train like always....?"

...
"Yes."
