The evening of that same day, I received a call from Beta Benjamin.
"Linda, can you come to the house?"
"Why? Is everything okay?"
He sighed. "I can't say anything for now, but I think it's important you come here."
"Alright, I'll be there," I said and ended the call. I placed the textbook I was studying on the table, walked to my closet, pulled out a jacket, put it on, and went downstairs. I didn't see any of the guys around, so I proceeded out to the garage.
I found them beside a truck, conversing in low tones, but I ignored whatever they were discussing and went straight to Tom.
"Drive me to Beta Benjamin's, he called; it sounded urgent."
Tom didn't hesitate; he got behind the wheel.
"Urgent? How urgent? What happened?" Julian interrogated.
"I don't know. When I get there, I'll see things for myself." I got into my Lamborghini, and Tom took off. After he parked, I got out of the vehicle and raced to Mom's room.
