"Call the nurse, I'm in pain," he winced as he sat on the bed.
Is he joking, or is he being serious? I don't know what to think.
When he continued groaning, I shifted closer to him. "Are you... Are you okay?"
"No," he showed me his bandage, and I saw blood stains. My eyes flew open.
He is not faking it. Shit!
I got up from the bed and stood before him. "Should I call the nurse?" I asked, panicking.
"Yes," he shook his head, appearing weak.
"I... Do you have your cellphone with you?"
"No, my room. You'll find it on the table," he instructed.
"Okay, give me a minute." I rushed out of my room and went to his. I saw his phone on the table and picked it up. I hurried back to him.
"Can you unlock it?"
"Double two, double four," he recited his password.
I unlocked his phone. "How did you save her name? What's the nurse's name?" I groaned as I scrolled through the contact list.
"Nurse Jo," he answered.
"Nurse Jo," I repeated as I typed the name, and the contact came up.
