Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5 : BURST INTO TEARS

As Lei Yao Yao uttered those words, an eerie silence settled over the entire room, wrapping everything in stillness. She stood there, dumbfounded, unable to grasp why everyone was staring at her with strange expressions. She couldn't help but notice a few people casting dark, unsettling glances her way.

Thinking that perhaps she had said something inappropriate, she was about to ask and clarify. But before she could, Yunshen tightly grabbed her hand, stopping her.

His strength was particularly strong ,as she refused and tried to struggle ,his gaze darkened .

"I shouldn't have let you come here! Let's go!" he whispered, his voice low enough for only her to hear.

"Why?!" She frowned, unhappy with how much force he was using as he gripped her hand. His strength was overwhelming; her jade-white skin had already reddened from the pressure, making the mark look even more serious.

At this point, she was truly irritated. She didn't like how he always acted according to his own will, pulling her along without considering her feelings.

"Let's go!" he repeated, his voice filled with anger now.

She instinctively looked at Captain Su for help, but he only offered an embarrassed, helpless smile, as if he had been wronged. From his expression, it seemed as though she had unknowingly said something offensive. She froze for a moment but eventually allowed herself to be led toward the door by Yun Shen. Her best friend, Qian Mu, also turned, intending to follow them out.

After a moment of silence, Qian Mu finally spoke, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere. "Yao Yao, the Captain didn't play well today... everyone said his performance was quite disappointing."

Yun Shen, who was still pulling Le Yao Yao forward, clearly heard her words. He shot a dark, sharp glance at Qian Mu.

'What the hell! She was just repeating Ji Shu's words!'

'What's so wrong about that!'

'She didn't even know much about the game — she had only just heard a few things today!'

"Huh? But didn't Ye Songze say—"

"He was just trying to hit on you," Qian Mu interrupted, sounding helpless. "Those were just flattering words. He didn't want to embarrass you."

By now, they had already reached the door and were about to step out when Le Yao Yao finally pieced together the entire situation.

'Weren't my words just rubbing salt into his wound?'

'Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! That bastard completely lied to me!'

'Captain?!'

Panic surged inside her. She anxiously turned around, wanting to go back and apologize. But Yun Shen, who stood beside her, noticed her attempt and firmly pulled her arm, preventing her from returning to the room.

"What?! You want to go back and say something wrong again, huh?! Are you really this heartless?" Fu Yunshen completely lost his composure, his anger erupting at the turn of events.

Already filled with guilt, Le Yao Yao couldn't hold it in any longer. Tears welled up in her eyes — that was her beloved Captain! Her vision blurred, and she knew she was only seconds away from breaking into sobs.

Feeling her trembling, Fu Yunshen's grip unconsciously softened. His voice lowered slightly, yet remained firm:

"Not allowed to cry."

"Bahh! Sob! Sob! Captain!"

Taking advantage of the moment, she slipped free from Fu Yunshen's loosened grip and rushed back into the room. Fu Yunshen, caught off guard by her sudden move, felt his anger surge once again.

'Damn it! Scheming woman!' he cursed inwardly.

Le Yao Yao's eyes quickly searched for the Captain, who was standing there, engaged in a discussion with the others. She knew that if she didn't explain herself right away, that player — the one who had dragged her out and argued with her — would definitely kick her out again.

This was her beloved Captain!

How could she let him feel bad — especially when she was the one who had caused it?
