Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – A World of Chaos

The dust settled over the small coastal town.

Dozens of unconscious pirates lay sprawled across the docks, some half-buried in crates, others floating in shallow water. Broken swords, shattered guns, and splintered barrels surrounded them—evidence of a one-sided massacre.

Nael stood in the middle of the wreckage, casually brushing wood chips from his shoulder.

"Still too weak," he muttered, sighing. "Even at thirty percent, this is boring."

The townsfolk peeking out from windows stared in stunned silence. Their oppressors—once feared pirates—had been wiped out in mere seconds.

Nael turned to one of the villagers, a middle-aged man with wide eyes and a trembling pipe in his mouth.

"You," Nael said bluntly, his voice low and firm. "Where is this place?"

The man swallowed hard. "Th-this is Corsa Village… on the edge of the East Blue, s-sir…"

Nael raised an eyebrow. "East Blue?"

Another term he didn't recognize. This world's geography was unfamiliar. His system told him the name "One Piece," but not its politics, history, or rules.

"Explain."

The villager nodded nervously and began to speak, rambling in a fearful tone. "Th-the East Blue is one of the four seas surrounding the Grand Line! The weakest sea—b-but still full of pirates and Marines! You're not… from around here, are you?"

Nael's golden eyes narrowed. "You could say that."

He looked up at the sky.

A world of pirates. A world divided by dangerous seas, governed by strength, and ruled by chaotic factions.

And it was completely alien to him.

"Grand Line… Marines… Devil Fruits…" he repeated under his breath. "This world doesn't use mana or divine energy. Haki and 'fruits' instead?"[System Sync Complete.]

• Devil Fruits – Magical fruits that grant strange abilities, at the cost of the sea's curse.

• Haki – A spiritual energy that grants immense power to those who awaken it.

• Pirate Era – A global race to claim the legendary treasure known as 'One Piece.'

• Marines – The world government's military force. Corruption and power vary by rank.Nael scoffed.

"What a ridiculous world," he muttered. "And yet… strangely honest."

No gods pulling the strings.

No divine prophecies.

Just chaos, ambition, and raw power.

Nael liked that.

The villagers began to come out of their homes, slowly realizing the danger was over. Children pointed at him in awe, and whispers filled the air.

"Did you see what he did?!"

"He took out the entire Black Tooth crew!"

"Is he… a bounty hunter?"

"No, he doesn't have a wanted poster… Maybe a rogue Marine?"

Nael ignored the chatter and walked toward the beach.

He stood near the edge of the water, staring out across the endless sea.

The waves stretched toward the horizon, where the sky met the ocean in a thin silver line. Somewhere beyond that line was the Grand Line, the heart of this world—and possibly his key to unlocking more of his power.[New Task Unlocked.]

Task: "Rise in the Pirate World."

Objective: Establish a name feared by all factions. Build a crew.

Reward: Seal Weakening +5% | Unlock Skill: Haki Adaptation**Nael glanced at the notification and smirked.

"A pirate, huh?" he murmured. "I was once a savior. Then a prisoner. Now… I'll be whatever this world needs me to be."

A group of fishermen approached him cautiously, offering food and drink as thanks. One of them, a teenage boy, looked up with admiration.

"Mister, what's your name?"

Nael looked down at the boy for a long moment.

His name—Nael—was known in another world as both a hero and a curse. Here, no one knew him. He could start anew. No chains of expectation. No divine meddling.

"Call me…" he paused, thinking.

Then he smirked.

"…Rael."

A name close to his own, but not burdened with history.

The boy grinned. "Thanks for saving our town, Mister Rael!"

Nael—or rather, Rael—turned back toward the sea.

The sun was setting now, casting the water in gold. And somewhere out there, stronger foes were waiting.

"Let's see what this world really has to offer."
