The story of Adrian Skyre is, at its core, an ordinary tale born from the quiet corners of my rather dull imagination. I did not write this story for any grand purpose, nor did I write it with the expectation that readers would someday discover in it. Perhaps I wrote it merely to pass the time, out of habit, or simply because I was bored.

Life itself is short. Within such a brief existence, it is impossible to experience everything the world has to offer. There are countless joys, sorrows, triumphs, and failures that one person may never encounter. That is why I wrote this book. So that through Adrian, I can experience those moments I may never reach in my own life—the pleasures, the happiness, the tragedies, the struggles, and the achievements.

My name is Mr. Thousand, and this is my first book—perhaps also my last. Every story that could ever come from my mind will live within this single work: “My Extraordinary Thousand Lives.”

There is no grand message here. No profound purpose. Only fragments of imagination and wandering thoughts.
