Chapter 11 - The Dead Don't Lie

The dark room was silent, save for the quiet hum of the ceiling fan. Aarvansh sat across from Bhalla Singh, whose face remained a mask of calm. The last two weeks had been a whirlwind for Aarvansh. First, the discovery of AGNI's true nature, then the disappearance of Albert Lam—now, this.

Bhalla leaned back in his chair, his fingers drumming lightly on the armrest as he began speaking, his voice low and steady.

Bhalla Singh

"Aryan... he wasn't dead that day," Bhalla Singh began. "When Albert shot him, Aryan had already taken the drug—the same one that made him so powerful. But he knew, better than anyone, that the only way to escape AGNI's eyes was to disappear. So, he pretended to be dead."

Aarvansh felt a chill run down his spine. The truth was even darker than he had imagined.

Aarvansh

"You're saying that he survived a bullet in his chest and his was alive ??!. If this is true why didn't he come after Albert or A.G.N.I for all these years?"

 Bhalla Singh

"For years, Aryan worked in secret, experimenting with his blood. He weakened the formula, created a lesser version of the drug. And he wasn't just creating a single dose—he made one hundred, each less potent than the original but still powerful enough to give a person extraordinary strength."

Aarvansh's mind raced. One hundred people, each enhanced by the drug. A new army.

Aarvansh

"But if he wanted to make an army why did he downgrade the formula ?"

Bhalla Singh

"Aryan was smarter than all of us and also the most skilled. He never wanted anyone to surpass him no matter who. Also , he was worried what could happen if things went wrong. He is 4x stronger than any solider in his army."

Bhalla Singh continued,

"He has been building a network of trusted individuals—his army—each one loyal to him. And now, he's ready to unleash them. His plan isn't just for personal gain. He wants to take over all the illegal operations, control the underworld, and destabilize the balance of power."

Aarvansh felt the weight of this revelation settling in his chest. A man like Aryan, with an army of enhanced individuals, could bring the entire world to its knees.

Bhalla Singh's gaze grew distant as he recounted the events.

"Albert and I were tasked with stopping him. We were supposed to infiltrate his operation and neutralize him. But when Albert realized how dangerous the mission was, he made a decision. He sent me back to AGNI. He said it was too dangerous, and someone had to stay behind to take his place if something happened."

Aarvansh frowned, piecing the puzzle together.

"But no news has come in two weeks. Albert hasn't returned. And you... you don't know what happened to him, do you?"

Bhalla Singh looked at him with a solemn expression.

"No, Aarvansh. I don't. But I can only hope that Albert is still alive, somewhere out there. He's the only one who can stop Aryan."

Aarvansh stood up, his mind swirling with the weight of what he had just learned. He needed to go back, but his thoughts were heavy, burdened with the complexity of the situation.

Aarvansh

"I need to process this," he said, his voice quieter now, as if to himself. "Okay it's not so bad after all. An army of super soliders , whose leader is an even stronger super solider , being stopped by a normal old man who pretends to be an entrepreneur but is the smartest agent in a secret government organization which itself has its dark past…."

Bhalla Singh nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.

"If you put it that way …. I know its complicated .But hey now that you've got your answers ,feel free to leave and you know what you're supposed to do now. Else I already know what I have to do if this information goes out."

Aarvansh turned to leave, but just as he reached the door, he paused. He glanced back at Bhalla Singh, his eyes narrowed with suspicion. There was something that didn't sit right.

Aarvansh

"One more thing, Bhalla Singh," Aarvansh said, his voice calm yet pointed. "A senior government officer like you... someone who has been part of a secret organization for so long... you can't be so foolish that you drop your ID card in a public place, knowing full well the kind of scrutiny your organization is under."

Bhalla Singh's lips curled into a small, almost imperceptible smile.

"So, you're smart after all. Well , you can say I had my eyes on you for quite a while now..."
