Chapter 8 - The Limits of Creation

The soul space remained silent like a white dreamland. Ventair, having learned about the power levels of the Omniverse, stood motionless amidst the endless field of tranquility.

However, another question quickly arose, stirring a profound curiosity within him about the nature of creative power.

"Seraphiel,"

Ventair said, his gaze fixed on the infinite white space, asking,

"Are there any limits to the creation of primordial energy?"

Right beside him, Seraphiel – standing as still as a holy statue of light, her two-colored eyes gleaming with purity – gently bowed her head. Her clear voice resonated throughout the space:

"My Lord, the beings that primordial energy can initially create, at their highest level, can reach Lower Deity. However, the creator must possess power equivalent to or higher than that rank to be able to form them."

She paused for a moment, her gaze directed at Ventair.

"This means that to create a being at the Lower Deity level using primordial energy, You Yourself must possess at least the power of a Lower Deity."

Ventair was stunned. His eyes widened, an expression of profound surprise clearly visible on his face.

The ability to create beings with Lower Deity power right from the start with primordial energy was beyond his imagination.

'No wonder it's the strongest and most ancient energy,' he thought to himself, feeling a deep reverence for the miraculous nature of the energy flowing within his soul.

He had underestimated its potential, and that made him even more excited for the journey ahead.

Another thought suddenly flashed in Ventair's mind, and he asked again,

"So if I had the power of a Lower Deity now, could I create Angels like you, with similar ranks?"

Seraphiel gently bowed her head, a pure smile gracing her lips, and replied,

"Yes, My Lord," she answered with affirmation.

"If You were to reach the Lower Deity rank, You could absolutely create Angels with equivalent power."

She gently emphasized, "However, if you wish to create more angels, you would also require an equivalent amount of energy to create the necessary number."

Hearing Seraphiel speak of energy requirements, Ventair instinctively looked at his own energy source, where he felt the presence of primordial energy. Immediately, he was astonished to discover that he had only lost 0.1 units in creating Seraphiel.

This meant he still had enough energy to create nine more Angels of equivalent power to Seraphiel, or to create other things requiring an equivalent amount of energy.

He stared at his current energy reserves and pondered.

';Only 0.1 for one Angel like Seraphiel?'

That thought brought him joy. The amount of energy he currently possessed, though not vast to him at the moment, seemed more than sufficient to create a legion of 10 angels.

'I must find a way to acquire more of this energy.'

He turned to Seraphiel, asking her in a serious tone,

"So, is there any way to collect primordial energy, Seraphiel?"

Seraphiel was silent for a moment, her two-colored eyes gently closing, as if sifting through and organizing the vast information in her mind.

Several seconds passed, the soul space remaining still, with only the soft light radiating from her body. Then, she slowly opened her eyes, looking at Ventair with a more solemn expression.

"My Lord," she said, with caution.

"There are very few ways to collect that type of energy, and each way is exceedingly difficult and dangerous. The 'easiest' way – though still extremely challenging – is to reach the power level of Stage 4: Absolute Omnipotents or higher. Upon reaching that level, an entity can begin to directly absorb primordial energy into their body."

She paused, her eyes glinting with a warning.

"However, if lower-ranked entities foolishly attempt to absorb this type of energy, their bodies will immediately explode and vanish into nothingness, leaving no trace. For this reason, no one is foolish enough to try to absorb that energy when they are still weak."

As Seraphiel spoke, Ventair suddenly realized something important, which stunned him.

'Why do I have primordial energy in me without exploding?' he wondered, his heart filled with contradiction.

But then, he understood.

His intense beliefs, his mad love for angels throughout his life... these very things had intrinsically generated primordial energy – not absorbed, but born from his soul. It had been integrated into his essence from the very beginning, like blood in his heart.

He breathed a sigh of relief, an invisible burden lifted. He had not had to face that deadly danger. Ventair nodded gently at Seraphiel, signaling her to continue.

Seraphiel understood, and she continued to explain, her voice calm but containing a vast amount of information.

"My Lord, regarding the 'second easiest' way to collect primordial energy, it is through the conversion of divine energy, also known as faith energy."

Ventair immediately asked, his eyes full of curiosity.

"What is divine energy? How is it obtained? And what is the conversion rate between them?"

Seraphiel smiled slightly, her lips parting:

"Divine energy is a type of energy that only entities at the Ascended Deity power level or higher can collect and utilize. The way to obtain it is to have followers, or believers, who worship you, granting you power through their faith. That is why divine energy is also called faith energy."

She continued, explaining in more detail.

"Faith energy is also divided into two tiers: basic energy and pure energy. And the conversion is as follows: 10,000 units of basic divine energy will yield 1 unit of pure divine energy. And 100 units of pure divine energy are needed to create 1 unit of primordial energy."

When Seraphiel finished speaking, Ventair was utterly bewildered, his expression shifting from curiosity to astonishment, and finally to a sigh of disappointment.

"10,000 basic energy for 1 pure, and then 100 pure for 1 primordial... Unreasonable!"

"One million units of basic divine energy... just to get one unit of primordial energy," he mumbled, finding the number incredibly absurd.

Obtaining one unit of primordial energy this way would require an enormous number of followers and a colossal amount of time.

This made Ventair realize even more how rare and formidable the primordial energy he possessed in his soul truly was.

It was an invaluable treasure, an unbelievable head start he had been fortunate enough to acquire.

He was determined to use this energy as wisely as possible to achieve his dream.

He asked further, "So, can divine energy be used for creation?"

She explained, "Faith energy, whether basic or pure, can be used to create beings, but those beings will be weaker than those created from primordial energy at the same level."

She added, "Also, the highest initial power of basic energy is Proto-Saint, while pure energy will be Ascended Deity."

He nodded upon hearing that, wondering if he should use those energies to create angels, but then he quickly shook his head because he wanted all his angels to be strong.

Another thought suddenly sparked in Ventair's mind, making him pause. He recalled Seraphiel's words about "faith energy."

His Angels, surely, would have absolute loyalty and unwavering faith in him, their Creator. So, couldn't they provide him with divine energy?

This could significantly solve the primordial energy shortage problem!

With eyes full of hope, Ventair turned to Seraphiel, who stood silently beside him, ready to heed his every command. "Seraphiel," he asked, his voice a little urgent and decisive.

"So, how much divine energy can Angels provide me, and what is its quality?"

Seraphiel gently bowed her head, her two-colored eyes gleaming with understanding. She smiled lightly, a pure and gentle smile. "My Lord," she replied, her voice clear as a ringing bell.

"The amount of divine energy obtained is based on three main factors: the number of followers, the quality of their faith, and the current power of that follower. Every Angel will possess fanatical, absolute faith in You. Therefore, an Angel at the Evolved (Evolved Being) power level, like myself, can provide You with 100 units of basic divine energy per day."

As Seraphiel finished speaking, Ventair was utterly stunned. His eyes widened, a spark lighting up within them.

"100 basic energy per day from one Evolved Angel?"

He quickly calculated in his head. If just one Seraphiel could provide such a large amount, then if the number of Angels increased, and their power was further elevated, the amount of primordial energy he could collect would be colossal!

That thought filled him with extreme excitement, a ray of hope igniting in his heart, dispelling his anxiety about energy depletion.

The path to ultimate power suddenly became much clearer and faster.

However, his excitement quickly subsided, giving way to a touch of disappointment as he remembered the harsh reality.

He only had Seraphiel. And if she alone provided energy, he resumed his calculations.

"100 basic energy per day... 10,000 basic needed for 1 pure... so that's 100 days for 1 pure. And 100 pure needed for 1 primordial... So that's 100 x 100 = 10,000 days. And 10,000 days is about 27.4 years..." He sighed again, feeling this wait was too long and arduous.

Ventair mused, his gaze sweeping over Seraphiel and then back to the indefinite void.

The two ways to collect primordial energy that Seraphiel had just mentioned were both exceedingly difficult.

The first way, reaching the Absolute Omnipotent level before absorbing, seemed like a vicious circle. He had to be strong first, but how to become strong without energy?

The second way, through faith energy, required an enormous number of followers and a painstaking conversion process.

And with the current number of angels, it would take too long to gather the necessary energy.

"So..." Ventair sighed softly, running a hand through his hair.

"We cannot rush. The path to collecting primordial energy is extremely arduous. Therefore, my next step should be to create as many angels as possible."
