Georgia's POV
Oliver and Ella left first, but not without giving me reminders. Oliver promised he'd stop by my office tomorrow to go over the case, while Ella asked me to come by her house after work to see the proposal she mentioned.
I was so preoccupied with my situation that I forgot to get back to Ella to tell me what Liam was really doing in my house after I got distracted with a phone call.
I am convinced that there's something going on with those two.
After they left, I went upstairs to put Katie to sleep. Nick and Liam stayed behind, talking in the living room while Wendy finished tidying up.
It didn't take long for Katie to drift off. I noticed she was already asleep when her small breaths deepened against my shoulder, and once she was settled, I slipped out quietly.
Back downstairs, Nick was still with Liam, so I decided to shower and change into my pajamas before checking again. By the time I heard the sound of a car pulling away, I figured Liam had left.
