Chapter 8 - The Void.

"You are in the presence of the void. All that was forgotten will be forgotten and this supreme one would make sure of it."

「The void huh, I thought it would be more...how would I say darker』

"Impudent Mortal, I only honour you because you submitted your soul to me"

「Boo hoo, bite me bitch?!」

"How annoying, just go out and play with the rest of the souls out there. This supreme one has no time for you"

「Sheesh, you brood too much, is that why you're alone.」

A girl with black hair and eyes paused, she was wearing a long robe that constantly produced an endless amount of mist, it was decorated in silver flower patterns.

The girl sighed and looked at the soul which submitted to her three months ago, she didn't want to admit it but she enjoyed talking to him.

"Says the mortal who hates his sister and ignores everyone because if depression and still made a pact with this supreme one to save her...I had to release a witch under the curse of three supreme ones that do not know of this supreme ones existence and in return, you gave me your entire afterlife. Who's really the idiot here?"

The mist around the girl shimmered as she waved her hand dismissively. The space around them shifted, revealing a sprawling void filled with fragmented landscapes—floating memories, drifting regrets, shattered souls echoing with pieces of forgotten lives.

But the boy she addressed—his outline faint, like a soul not yet fully dead nor alive—just gave her a crooked smirk.

「I'd do it again. I don't care about the price. I said I wanted her to live, didn't I? Even if she doesn't remember me… that's better than her being dust in that park.」

The Void Mistress narrowed her eyes. "I am the Supreme One that governs the domain of oblivious, what is lost will return to me and something that wants to be lost in return for a favour is given by me, I am the Darkness that envelopes the stars and will soon envelop everything, I am the Forgotten Void that Predates Reality, you should understand, the moment you submitted to me, your entire existence was erased but as i am merciful, I only took your name and identity...but I have a...preposition for you to go back into the mortal place."

「Oh, why are you doing that and you stopped saying 'This Supreme one'」

The Void Mistress rolled her eyes. "I have not stopped speaking like that, it's just annoying to be narcissistic of oneself, it's an instinctual this supreme one cannot get rid of."

「You're cute and all but you act like a child sometimes, anyways what's the preposition」

The void Mistress smiled. "I cannot give you back your name nor your identity but I can bring about a new one that is if you become one of my 'Angels', it's nothing bothersome really, you'll just get some tasks from me to complete and you can rise in power and rank by yourself and because I have taken a liken to you, I will of course leave you to your free will, but be warned, the sun shines everywhere and on everyone when it touches something that devours it's light it will become aware, though the sun it's quite weak and it thinks it's the highest in power simply because it is far above the world, when it touches something that devours its light, it will become aware. Though the sun is weak, it burns with a truth that cannot be hidden. Your actions, your existence, will no longer be forgotten if you choose this path."

The soul—still a faint silhouette—tilted his head thoughtfully. "So, if I agree, I'll have a new name, a new purpose… but no memories of who I was?"

The Void Mistress nodded slowly. "Correct. You will be reborn under my domain, an Angel of the Forgotten Void. Your past is the price. Your future, the gift. And if you succeed, you will grow in power beyond mortal understanding."

He hesitated for a moment, then his smirk returned, firmer this time. "I want to protect her. Even if she doesn't remember me, even if I lose myself, I want to give her a chance."

A silence stretched between them, thick with weight and consequence.

"Very well," the Void Mistress whispered. "Then rise, Angel of the Forgotten. Go forth and weave your will in the mortal realm. But beware—the sun's light will seek you out, and not all shadows are as merciful as I."

Suddenly, the void rippled, and a wave of icy energy washed over the soul. His faint outline flared bright, then collapsed into a new form: sharper, defined, and strangely serene.

"Remember," the Void Mistress's voice echoed as the void began to dissolve, "even in oblivion, some things refuse to be forgotten."

The soul disappeared from the sight of The Void.

The void Mistress leaned down to her throne and tapped her fingers on the throne. "Starless Mother, you made me release your first creation, the one Known as The Pale White Witch upon the mortal world. She now walks the ground without the curse of those three on her, free to manipulate everything, free to start the apocalypse, no one would be able to stop her now as she has done the impossible and Tranferred a supreme ones curse to another being. Though it was because 'He' allowed it even though he is annoying. But i am sure Fate wouldn'tjust let this happen, she is really adamant, especially if one were to break her rules in keeping this ever so unstable existence...stable."

The Void was simply talking to herself as no one was there ro listen, she was used to it as it was her existence to be forgotten, to be forever alone in her domain.

---

The soul found himself back in the original setting of his town, well above It that is. His long black hair flowed by the wind and the gentle flutters of his black wings.

He looked down himself and nodded in satisfaction, he was wearing a long black coat with white undershirt. His eyes were not black but a deep blue thay seems to devour the light in its surroundings.

He touched his throat and then spoke. "Now, what will be my name from now on, I can't exactly use ------------ so I'll use a similar name, from now on My name is Kuronami Aoi."

The world stilled as if acknowledging his new existence, Kuronami descended upon the world, his wind retracting to his back but his pale skin and black hair still remained, the unnatural aura of Nothingness that surrounded him dissipated giving rise to a more familiar 'human' Aura.

Kuronami looked towards the house his sister is in and pondered if he should go to her...but he didn't want another weight on her shoulders. "Forget about it, I'll just meet her when she has sorted out everything she is and will experience, but me, I am but a mere guardian angel...well to my sister, but the Void Supreme one was quite cute."

〔...I appreciate the compliment, but you would collapse if you were to gaze at my true form...which is no different from my normal form, though the other supreme ones are incomprehensible creatures that hide in a humanoid form that resembles me. And about the thing you call a 'Date', you would have to do something to impress me〕

Kuronami paused midair, floating silently above the sleepy town as the voice echoed in his head—faint, distant, and yet undeniably her. He couldn't help the smug grin that tugged at his lips.

「Heh, you are listening. That means you do care.」

〔Care is irrelevant. I simply observe what belongs to me.〕

「Sure, sure. Just like how a girl 'just observes' the guy who traded his soul for her attention, right?」

〔Hmph. Your delusions are persistent. Very well, Kuronami Aoi—Angel of the Forgotten—I shall watch your deeds. If they are worthy, perhaps I will consider your… proposal.〕

He chuckled softly, descending gently onto a rooftop overlooking the town. The breeze tousled his hair as he crouched, scanning the streets below with a sharpness beyond human perception. "Well it seems I have another goal than protecting my sweet sister, trying the Conquer Oblivion herself doesn't seem bad."

Kuronami didn't realize but the light of the sun shined brighter around hims as if something was watching him deeply...But it was vague.

The light didn't directly touch him, it twisted and became an outline that showed the shape of a man in the form of an endless void.

The light almost felt...frustrated.

Out above the world, deep inside the burning sun. The Yellow supreme one ceased her brows, the countless creatures beneath her throne moved like an endless sea.

What was this strange yet familiar force?. It gave her a slight yearning, more so than 'Him' or Fate.

When she extended her rays on earth, she saw a manshaped mass of Nothingness being instantly formed there. She could hardly keep her focus, because if she didn't she would forget what this was.

The supreme ones scroll appeared beside her and opened up, she frowned much more deeply as she could not trace the existence of this person.

The only information her scroll said was.

[Oblivions Favourite]

She tapped the armrest for a moment and thought for a moment, Maybe 'He' knows about this but she wasn't that shameless to ask him so she might as well ask the second most knowledgeable person in the entire universe.

For the first time in a long while. The Supreme on stood from her throne and dusted her skirt, though she didn't need to, it was a habit she had developed in her early days.

With a single step, the supreme one crossed the boundaries of space and time and appeared in normal looking room where a single window that showed the view of a neatly cut garden stood.

The room was...eccentric, it looked like that of a normal teenage girl going through a phase and on the bed was a white haired girl with grey eyes holding a phone as her hands were outstretched above her.

She muttered under her breath. "Come on, why do you always have to use cheats, play normally goddammit?!!."

The Suprem one smiled at the unchanging attitude of fate. "Hello Fate."

Fate let out a long, dramatic sigh without even lowering her phone. Her voice was tired, as if she'd already calculated a thousand versions of this conversation. "You found something you weren't supposed to, didn't you?"

The Supreme One of Light, known as the Little Sun—though no one ever dared to say it to her face except Fate—nodded calmly, folding her arms behind her back. "Oblivion's Favor. A being born from the Void's domain. He has no record in your scrolls, none in mine, and the light can't touch him… it curves around him like he's... repelling it."

Fate paused her game and finally turned to look at the radiant being now standing in the corner of her strangely mundane room. Her gray eyes flickered with a subtle brilliance, as though galaxies lived and died behind them. "You mean Kuronami Aoi."

The Little Sun flinched. "You know the name?"

"I know all potential names," Fate said with a shrug. "But that one was supposed to remain in flux. I didn't plan for it to be used."

"But he wasn't supposed to exist, right?" the Sun Supreme pressed. "He was erased. Wiped. The Void took him. That should've been the end."

Fate gave a small smile—cynical, but not unkind. "The Void doesn't erase. She stores. She hoards what the world discards. And sometimes… just sometimes, she gives it back when no one's watching."

The room dimmed slightly, not from the Sun Supreme's power, but from the sheer weight of Fate's next words.

"You're not afraid of him, are you?"

"I don't fear what I see," the Little Sun said carefully, "but I don't see him anymore. And what I don't see… I forget. That's never happened to me."

"Exactly," Fate said, tapping her phone screen once more. "Which means she's finally made her move. After eons of solitude, the Void has sent a piece into the world—her favorite, no less. And knowing her, it wasn't just out of affection. She's playing a long game."

"She released the Pale White Witch," the Sun Supreme said flatly.

Fate's eyes narrowed. "I know."

"And that said witch transferred the Supreme Curse."

"I know that too."

"Then why haven't you intervened?!" The Sun's voice flared, and in that moment the room glowed as if a second dawn had erupted inside it.

Fate didn't blink. "The Pale White Witch has escaped from Fate making her no different than outer universal entity like the Starless mother, The vampira girl. I can only influence her Fate because 'He' thought the universe was burning and also said we needed new conflicts...or alliance's, then there are the other two anomalies I really do not want to talk about, like the Hellbound which was turned by the Suprem of Hell and the Mirror Witch, which I would say is an error in the universe and Fate which is me itself, and the rules I ha e placed on the supermarket creatures have been slowly dismantled since 78 million years ago. A new age is descending upon the universe and new supremes will rise, it's all just chaos and I really do not want to deal with it but If I don't direct some things, everyone would just be walking blind."
