Auron doesn't like Banquets. Its not because it was so crowded but due to the behaviour and mentality of the people there. Auron's friends once told him how much exhausting it is to attend an banquet because some will try to bribe you into their Guild or be their personal Guide/Esper, while other will try to criticize you and many more. Auron's friends know how to take care of people like those, but Auron is not an people pleaser. He is straightforward and will react if others try anything funny." Auron, I know you not happy with attending the Banquet. But can you at least relax a bit. You look like someone just killed your dog" Kael who was driving the car said as he glanced at Auron who is sitting at the passenger seat. " Sigh, Okay but don't expect me to socialize with others" Auron said as he looked out of the window. Kael hummed in reply. Rex snorted and said" If you were not interested in attending in this, then you shouldn't have come. You just gonna be an eyesore anyways". Auron just rolled his eyes before muttering to himself "The rabid dog is barking again". But it was heard by Kael. "Rex, just shut your mouth. Please don't cause any trouble when we are there" Kael commanded. Rex huffed at him before looking outside the window. After few minutes they arrived their destination. The World Guild Association conduct these types of Banquets every year. And the one they gonna attend is one of the most important Banquet, as international Guild members are also invited in this.
As soon as Nocturne Blades entered the banquet hall everyone's eyes where on them, especially on Auron. Afterall Auron is their new guide and they are gonna estimate Auron's pros and cons, and they are only going to point out his disadvantages.
"Is that their new Guide?"
"He looks pretty but why is his face stoic?"
"What class he is?"
"What is the point if he is an B class or A class?. He is just an replacement for Arin"
And more murmurs. If they think their petty move going to make Auron break, then they are completely wrong. Auron just brush it off as their words were nothing but dust. "Good to see you here, Kael" A man said as he stepped out of the crowd and walked towards their group. The man was tall, handsome, blonde hair with golden eyes and wearing an expensive suit. "Lucas" Kael said. Lucas Throne the Guild Master of Pheonix Guild grinned at them. His eyes wandered through Nocturne Blades before looking at Auron, a sly smile bloomed on his lips. "Oh~, you might be the new Guide of the Nocturne Blades" Lucas said as he looked at Auron. "Lucas Throne from Pheonix Guild. Nice you meet you" Lucas introduced himself." Auron Vales" Auron introduced himself.
"Seriously that's it?"
"How cold!"
"Is he even a Guide?"
"How can a Guide be so cold!"
Murmurs. Murmurs.
Then from the crowd emerged a Guide with beautiful blonde fluffy hair and violet eyes. He have a feminine body and he looks like an ideal Guide. Auron heard his Guild members take a sharp breath when they saw the Guide. Auron knows who this Guide is. Arin, Arin Valen the previous Guide of Nocturne Blades. Lucas at where Kael and others were looking before grinning. "Ah, Arin come let's meet Nocturne Blades new Guide" Lucas said as he guided Arin towards them. "Auron, this is my Guild's Guide, Arin Valen" Lucas introduced Arin to Auron. Auron greeted Arin politely with a nod before introducing himself. "Hello, I am Auron Vales". Arin smiled at him before asking "They are not causing you any trouble, right?". Auron nodded." They are manageable" then he replied. Arin chuckled at this. They began to exchange few words before getting comfortable with each other. For Auron, Arin is warm and cheery extrovert who knows how to interact with person's with different attitude. And it's looks like Arin is not like other typical Guides, as he knows whom to respect and whom to avoid and Auron is fond of people like that. For Arin, Auron is like cold and untouchable person who only interact with certain people. And it's looks like Auron consider him one of them as he is asking about well being and others things a friend would ask. "Ah, look like both them are getting along" Lucas said as he keep looking at both S class Guides who having an enjoyable conversation. "Looks like it" Kael replied while watching Auron letting his guard down around Arin and even smiling at Arin.
Clink Clink
Everyone's attention turned towards the stage. The director of World Guild Association is standing in front of the mic with a glass of champagne as he began to speak. "Good evening everyone. I warmly welcome you all for our Banquet. What I wants to say is The Banquet have Officially Started". The crowd cheered. The music began to play, many Esper and Guide pairs began to dance. "Auron let's dance" Arin said as he dragged Auron towards where everyone was dancing. After getting there he realised, all of the dancing pairs are Esper-Guide pairs, and he and Auron are both Guides."Ah!, hahaha what are we gonna do , we both are Guides" Arin said laughing nervously. In their Academic Years, they also learned dancing, the Esper will lead the dance and Guide will follow the lead. Now that he and Auron are both Guides and doesn't know how to lead the dance. Arin was about to apologise to Auron when Auron grabbed him and began to lead the dance. "Now calm down your thoughts and enjoy" he heard Auron voice. Arin followed Auron's lead, surprisingly Auron was good at it and far more better than those Espers he have danced. " Look like you have experience in leading the dance" Arin commented as he and Auron dances. "Mm, an idiot friend of mine thought it is a fantastic idea to break the typical way dancing and let me lead the dance instead of him." Auron explained. Arin noticed a faint smile bloomed on Auron face when he mentioned about the friend.
Lucas and Kael watched them from afar. Kael looked at Auron who is dancing with Arin , carefree, not stoic or cold unlike when he is with them. While Lucas was glad that Arin and Auron getting along unlike certain Guides who will be at each other's throats everytime. He watched Auron. He can tell that Auron is not someone that others can mess. 'What a fascinating Guide' Lucas thought as he sip his champagne.
