{Erin} I'm sorry.
[Your HP has reached 0 due to hunger]
[Transformation will now begin]
Erin writhed on her back, shakily lifting her hand towards the sky. She had to reach for something, anything… But it was too late.
Erin was only able to send out a message to the only person she could contact before her mind shattered. A burning agonizing pain had spread across her body. The whites of her eyes slowly grew darker. She couldn't think, not anymore.
Her body had jolted, and her head had flung back as she let out a bloodcurdling scream. Teeth grew long and jagged, sharpening as they became larger. Her hands were elongating, the flesh spreading across the bones making them more visible, and the fingernails hardened into dark sharp claws.
The pain spread across every cell in her body as her skin grew tighter, no longer fitting as her bones elongated. It was as if her body was being dehydrated, spreading her flesh over her longer bones, leaving only the muscle visible. She didn't look bigger, only stretched out.
Her once pretty face contorted into an uncanny attempt at human features. Sharp teeth no longer fit in her mouth, pure black eyes only displaying primal levels of intelligence, and her strawberry blonde hair had fallen off of her head. The being wearing Erin's clothes no longer was Erin, but a mindless starving bloodsucker.
[Your mind is now unstable]
[Your blood lust has reached its maximum level]
[You are now a (crazed) bloodsucker]
[All stats will be doubled]
[Health will be halved]
[While in this form, all blood skills are unavailable]
The pain eased, except for its hunger. The bloodsucker rolled over to its fours, its back hunched. It starved for blood, but there wasn't anything to drink in the area. Sniffing the air with its flat nose, there was at least one thing around that wasn't a beast, and it didn't want anything else to get to it.

Fex had pushed off a rock, freeing himself from the rubble he was blasted into. He didn't like the fact that this had happened a second time within such a short time frame. Looking outside of the gaps in the old walls, he could see the dead body of the deathbat. What he couldn't see was Erin.
Scratching the back of his head, he was wondering where she went. Fex exited the building and onto the street to look further. He thought with the scream he heard that Erin was in trouble fighting the beast, but when he kicked the deathbat's body, it was clearly dead.
That was when Fex realized he actually couldn't hear anything at all. The planet was naturally pretty quiet, but even a vampire could hear the occasional scuffle of small beasts roaming the area.
No, this was a silence so intense, Fex could even hear his own heart beat.
Straining his ears, Fex grew suddenly hyper aware, trying to listen for something— anything— around.
That was when he heard the faintest sound of a droplet hitting the floor. He flung his body around, and saw a baldheaded pale monster with a line of drool coming from its mouth.
The monster jumped right at him, claws wide open, and Fex narrowly rolled to the side. The monster's claws had grazed his cheek, creating a small line of red on his face. Scrambling to his feet, he knew what exactly the monster in front of him was.
A crazed bloodsucker.
'I didn't think she was that injured, but I should've known better from a newbie vampire.'
Running towards the parking garage, Fex had an idea he needed structures for, but before he could enter, the bloodsucker jumped right in front of him. It blocked the entrance.
"Crap!" Fex yelped as the bloodsucker leapt at him.
Its jaw bit into his shoulder, and he fell on his back. The strength of the bloodsucker was far stronger than him. He was pinned with no way of overpowering the monster trying to eat him. He thought this was going to be his end until the monster suddenly stopped biting into him. It lifted its head and screamed in his face.
"REEEEEKKKKKK!"
The monster dug its claws into his body and tossed him into the side of the building. The bloodsucker clawed at its own body before crawling away at an inhuman speed.
For the 3rd time since he arrived on this planet, Fex lifted himself up from the ground. He couldn't quite figure out why a bloodsucker would start attacking him only to suddenly stop. The only explanation he could think of was that Erin was starving, and bit into him hoping to get fed human blood. Of course, he wasn't human, but he did have a flask of the real thing.
'I'm glad I'm not human. If I was…'
Looking at himself, Fex was thinking that he might've needed the blood more than she did. Taking out his flask, he was considering drinking it, but didn't in case she smelled it.
He could run off somewhere far away, drink all the blood he had stored, and leave Erin in the state she was, but his conscious told him not to. Despite being clearly outmatched by the bloodsucker that used to be Erin, she was the one who had helped him defeat the deathbat. He had to at least try to save her.
'She's fast, and strong, far stronger than me,' Fex thought, 'but how can I turn her back?'
He had to first attract her to his location, keep her still long enough to feed her, and not get killed somehow in the process. Needless to say, it was a tall order when the bloodsucker that was Erin would outmatch him in nearly every way.
Entering inside the parking garage, Fex got to work preparing his strings. This was going to be the only way he could slow her down.
—
The mindless beast prowled the ruined city. Every now and then, it would sniff the air searching for something to stave off its hunger. The thing it bit into earlier had blood, but it wasn't the kind that would satisfy her.
A rattaclaw had made the mistake of being unaware there was danger nearby. It had poked its head out of a broken down vehicle, creating a small faint sound of movement. Wasting no time, the bloodsucker leapt onto the rattaclaw, crushing its skull with a powerful bite.
Unfortunately, this was a foul taste, and the bloodsucker spat the head out.
"RRRRREEEEEKKKKK!" It screamed.
The monster prowled through the streets, occasionally seeing beasts before pouncing on them. It even came across a dome like structure, but it paid no mind to that.
Again, it sniffed the air, and listened for movements. That was then the aroma of a sweet delightful scent entered its nose.
Blood.
This made the already hungry bloodsucker delirious. It screamed before crawling frantically like a spider following the scent. The bloodsucker crawled over rubble, stone and walls to get to that delicious smell. Coming across a structure, it broke it lifted its clawed hand and punctured the concrete wall as if it was paper.
Tearing open the small hole, the bloodsucker crawled inside to smell that sweet aroma wafting around the large room, but the smell was directly concentrated at one specific point. There was the being it bit into earlier now holding what it desired so terribly.
"REEEKKKKK!"
The bloodsucker leaped towards the being, but it got caught upon these nearly invisible strings. All throughout the wide open area, there were several pillars that had hundreds of string all attached to one another. It was like a spider's web where you couldn't move without getting slowed down on all of these thin little wires.
Again, it screamed, and began to claw at the strings. Meanwhile, the being holding the blood started running circles. Everywhere the being went, a string had followed him.
"I'm returning the favor for saving my life, you can thank me later."
