Chapter 36 - CHAPTER 36:The Cruel Trap

The next day, Syaoran continued the search for Fang. He looked everywhere he could think of, but each road led to nothing. Defeated and devastated, he returned to the palace and sank into his throne, his heart heavy with sorrow.

Taio watched him in silence before stepping forward. "Your Majesty… we've searched the entire city, but there's still one place left."

Syaoran slowly lifted his head, his eyes filled with desperation. "Where, Taio?"

Taio hesitated. "Lucian's realm."

Syaoran's gaze darkened instantly, his fists tightening at the mention of that name. "Send a spy. Now. Search Lucian's territory."

Meanwhile, far from the palace, Lucian stood within his twisted, otherworldly lair—his own sinister dimension. He hovered his hand above Fang's chest, searching for the world-changing stone he so desperately sought.

A flicker of dark light confirmed his suspicion.

She had it.

An evil laugh escaped Lucian's lips, echoing through the cursed space. "So... it's inside you after all."

He placed his hand on her chest, trying to extract the stone. But as he forced his dark energy into her, Fang's unconscious body trembled violently from the sheer power.

The stone resisted.

A hidden seal clashed with his magic, releasing a pulse that hurled Lucian across the room and slammed him against a wall. He stumbled to his feet, growling in disbelief.

"No one told me… someone sealed it!" he roared, his voice laced with rage.

He marched back to her, his eyes glowing with hatred. Placing his hand on her forehead, he sneered, "I thought I could simply take it from you… but now? How can I acquire it if it won't even let me in?"

He pressed his palm harder against her forehead, infusing it with malicious energy. Her body shook uncontrollably, even in her unconscious state.

Suddenly, Lucian paused.

He sensed it—Syaoran's spy had entered his realm.

He chuckled wickedly. "Oh? Your little prince is searching for you."

Then his expression twisted. "But he'll never find you. No… He'll cry over your lifeless body, and I'll be there—watching him suffer, just like I did."

Laughing maniacally, Lucian conjured a cursed spell—a dark enchantment that would plunge Fang into an endless, permanent sleep. With a flick of his fingers, he cast it on her.

---

Back at the palace, the spy returned with grim news.

"Your Majesty… we found nothing. Lucian's place was empty."

Syaoran's heart sank. His breathing grew heavy as he stood from his throne, fists clenched in fury.

He screamed, his voice echoing throughout the palace.

"LUCIAN! I swear, I won't let you live in peace!"

---

That night, while the palace slept, Lucian completed his wicked plan. Knowing he could never possess the sealed stone, he resorted to his final cruelty.

"She'll die," he whispered coldly, "and he'll break."

Lucian opened a dark portal, connecting his lair to the palace grounds. Silent as death, he stepped into the royal garden.

He looked down at Fang, her poisoned, trembling body barely alive.

"If I can't have the stone… you won't have life," he whispered with a smirk.

With a cruel laugh, he flung her body through the portal. It landed among the flowers in the moonlit garden—unconscious, broken, and on the verge of death.
