Chapter 1 - The Unknown World

Opening Theme Song by Claire De Lune "Dreamy"

Inside a dimly lit room, a figure lay on the bed, wrapped in a blanket. Their raven hair spilled across the floppy pillow. Only their soft breathing echoed in the room.

"Is she dead?" Two round, ball-like creatures with light wings fluttering behind them flew toward the sleeping beauty, peering into her face.

"Stupid?" One creature scolded the other. "If she's dead, why is her heart still rising softly?" It rolled its eyes.

The other creature frowned but quickly changed its expression. "Her lashes are long... But why isn't she waking up yet?" It exclaimed in a high-pitched voice filled with admiration and worry.

"Patience, Wuba," The other creature drawled.

Both creatures hovered above the sleeping beauty, observing her features. Suddenly, The young girl stirred on the bed, trying to pry her eyes open with a deep frown.

As she attempted to open her eyes, her eyelids felt heavy. She couldn't tell what was happening. Kicking off the blanket with her left leg, she grew anxious to open her eyes. In a blink, her eyes snapped open, and she stared at the two weird, round creatures hovering above her.

Her long lashes fluttered twice as confusion swirled in her eyes. The creatures peered closer, giggling.

"Wufa, she's awake! Hehehe!" Wuba exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.

Wufa nodded. "I can see that. You don't need to remind me, stupid!" He reprimanded.

The young girl stared at the duo in confusion, blinking her eyes again. [Where am I? What's going on? What are these things? Is this still my room? Did they just speak?]

The girl's mind throbbed with questions. Everything felt weird. Her whole body ached for no reason. The creatures continued arguing in their strange accent.

Can't take it anymore, she pushed herself up from the bed. A throbbing headache overwhelmed her. "Ah!" She moaned in pain.

"Wufa, she doesn't look good. I'll go get the master!" One creature said, flapping around and heading toward the exit.

"Wuba, you wait here and look after her," Wufa said, moving past the concerned Wuba.

"...And why?" Wuba managed to ask before Wufa left the room.

"I'm going to call the master!" He responded as he disappeared.

Wuba's mouth formed an "O" shape. She hovered close to the girl, peering at her with concern. "Are you okay?"

The young girl held her throbbing head and glanced around the room, gasping. "What's going on?" she asked softly.

Wuba furrowed her big eyes, not understanding the question. "Huh? Don't worry, Wufa has gone to get the master."

The girl looked at Wuba like she was clueless and scoffed. She had to find answers for herself. Pulling the blanket off, she got off the bed and dragged her feet toward the ground. A wave of dizziness almost pulled her down, but she steadied herself by grabbing the nightstand.

"Hey, don't move! You don't seem okay!" Wuba tried to stop her.

The girl ignored Wuba's warnings and continued moving, determined to find answers. She suddenly stopped, taking in the room's soft, milky-colored rug and the glassy chandelier above. The porch behind her bed faced a garden, filled with fresh flowers that welcomed her with a sweet scent.

Shock and surprise occupied her face. "What is this place?" She asked in a soft voice, dragging her feet toward the porch. The sunlight reflected off the windows.

The roundball creature puffed out its chest confidently and followed her, flapping its tiny wings.

"This is the Lotus Garden," Wuba replied, her voice filled with excitement.

"Lotus Garden?" The young girl repeated, cocking her brows. The roundball creature nodded its pink eyes and continued explaining.

"Don't be confused by the name 'Lotus Garden'; it's a name given by the ancestor who made the garden." Wuba said, like she was sharing the best news.

The young girl shook her head, still confused. The last thing she remembered was walking down the hallway of her school with her headphones on. Now this... She couldn't comprehend what was happening.

She placed her hand on the handle of the glass door separating the porch from her room and unlocked it, letting it swing wide open. As she walked through the glass door, Wuba followed behind her, giggling.

She grimaced at the scene before her. Standing on the terrace, she realized they were on the top floor of the building, overlooking a garden filled with colorful plants, flowers, and butterflies. Her eyes caught sight of other shining creatures, small in size, flying around the lake of flowers.

"Is that what I think it is?" she asked.

"Yes, your thoughts are correct. They are ferries," Wuba exclaimed, still giggling.

"It's good you're awake."

A strong, feminine voice cut in. Wuba and the young girl turn around to face the new person.

"Master Lu." Wuba greeted, bowing her head in a funny, round shape.

A woman in a blue suit, with her hair tied in a bun, stood in the middle of the room with her shoulders high and back straight. The young girl glanced at the new person, back to the weird roundball creatures, with her and to the other roundball creatures hovering in the air next to the stoic lady.

She probs in a low voice.

"You are? And what is this place? How did I...?"

"So many questions at a time." The Lady cut her off in a serious tone, maintaining her posture.

The young girl frowned at the rude interruption.

For heaven's sake, she deserves to know what going on.

"Your mind is swirling with questions, and sure you'll get answers," The Lady said, seeing the curiosity in her eyes.

"So why are my..." The young girl tried to ask again.

"No more words, Girl." The Lady cut her off again and glanced at Wufa.

"Wufa, you and Wuba should get her ready and bring her to the hall to meet the others. Understood?"

"Yes, Master," The two roundball creatures answered.

The woman looked at the young girl and said, "If you need answers, Kimora, get ready and meet the others."

The young girl gasped as the Lady called her name.

Did she just call my name?

"You know my name?" she asked.

The Lady didn't respond and turned to leave.

"Hey, wait! You still haven't answered my question!" the young girl cried out, but the Lady was already gone.

She slumped onto the bed, frustrated. The two roundball creatures exchanged a look and flapped close to her.

"There's more you need to know than what you want to know," Wufa told her.

Kimora glanced up, taking a closer look at the two weird creatures. They looked alike, but one could tell them apart by their colors – Wufa was blue with big eyes and brown fur hair, while Wuba was pink with white hair.

Kimora nodded slightly, accepting her fate. "The rude Lady says you roundballs... need to get me ready," she said.

"Yes, my lady. But our names are Wuba and Wufa, not roundballs," Wuba responded in an annoyed tone.

"I apologize," Kimora said. Wufa nods in acknowledgment.

"He he he..." Wufa rolled his eyes at Wuba who was giggling out of the blue.

"You will get old quick if you keep making that face, Wufa."

Wuba teases Wufa.

Kimora couldn't help but feel amused by their interaction.

"Don't mind my elder brother; he can be cranky and no fun at times," Wuba explained. Kimora chuckled at her words.

"I dare you to say that again, stupid," Wufa scolded. Wuba pouted and made a bluff sound to annoy her brother.

"You ask to be beaten!" Wufa shouted at her.

"Guys, I need to get ready," Kimora reminded them.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Miss Kimora. Let's get you ready." Wuba apologized and The two round ball-like creature siblings led her to another inner room to get ready.
