The question she had wanted to ask earlier remained unspoken, buried in her heart.
Watching her rushing figure disappear, Gu You's gaze turned sharp.
'If forging won't work… then I'll just fight!'
That very day, his Blood God Ring was updated by the logistics department, categorizing his merits into two types: one from forging, and one that would be earned by slaying abyssal creatures in combat.
Of course, the forging orders he'd already accepted still had to be completed.

The logistics department handled all equipment. When Gu You followed Long Yuxue there, no other Blood God Legion soldiers were present—only staff members.
"We're here to purchase equipment," Long Yuxue said, presenting her Blood God Ring.
"Please make your selections." A touchscreen appeared in front of them.
Long Yuxue said, "There's some gear you absolutely need. For example, this Abyss Isolation Shield. With it, you won't be affected by the abyss's aura of destruction, and you'll be able to use your martial soul normally. Without it, your martial soul would be useless. This is standard equipment, so it's cheap—only one hundred merit points. But in truth, the Federation spent a fortune developing it."
