Just then a hole in space appeared as a bright purple ball of light floated through it and into the arena. As soon as it hit the ground it burst into light as a giant transparent old man appeared in its place. Despite his best efforts to catch his audience's attention with a grand and blinding display, it just wasn't enough to get them to give him the light of day. Mr. Shao was too traumatized to move as he was rocking back and forth while hugging his legs. Miss Li was quickly losing consciousness from her injuries. Zhang Wei was doing his best to tend to miss Li's wounds. The dark lord was thrown into an uncontrollable fit of laughter, and Nox was only making it worse by virtue of being Nox.

It wasn't until the old ghost yelled at the top of his incorporeal lungs that the others even noticed he was there.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!" Nox yelled back while focusing on the mentally exhausted man in front of her, that was laughing like a madman.
Seeing that he had their attention, the old man cleared his throat as he continued with his speech.

As the old land spirit of the inheritance site grew as red in the face as an energy-based lifeform can get, the surrounding space began to rumble and shake as if there was an earthquake.

Just then the big arena they had previously been in disappeared as their surroundings became pitch black. The only visible thing was their fellow trial takers and the old spirit, whose eyes had transformed into a starry night sky. And the space within this dark void began to tear Nox's body apart. As her limbs, skin and clothes were disintegrating, Nox calmly started talking.
"Hey, I have some advice for you old-timer. Next time you kidnap someone, make sure you know who that someone is first." She said as the destruction of her body suddenly stopped as she was just a floating head.

"Now, let's change the scenery a bit" The floating head said. And in defiance of the laws of physics her head started growing larger to match the size of the old apparition. Then she manifested a hand and snapped her fingers and with that the black void turned into a burning landscape made from flesh and blood. As rivers of blood could be seen reaching into the horizon, the screams of the damned could be heard from the monstrous mouths in the fleshy ground below as the entire group was floating above it all.
