"Please!" Rachel murmured, her voice soft, but Kellan still heard it.
He paused for a moment, remembering how she had refused to ask him for help when they were in the pool, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of throwing her in.
Now she was asking him for something, and Kellan sneered, "Beg me for what?"
"Please, let me go," Rachel's voice was pleading. She had to give in, she knew if she didn't, this man would eat her alive.
There was nothing this despicable man wouldn't do.
"Why are you suddenly acting like a saint? You've already had a child and don't even know who the father is!" Kellan looked down at her with cold eyes, his lips curling into a mocking smile.
But his warm breath on her face carried a strong, masculine scent, full of aggression.
He wanted to remind her of how she had climbed into his bed five months ago. Wasn't she happy then?
This foolish woman couldn't even remember that.
