"Is everything okay?" Kellan's sharp eyebrows furrowed slightly, and his whole body gave off a strong and intimidating aura.
Gael pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and cautiously said, "Uh… President Elliott, your health is important. You should head back and rest early." There weren't any major projects lately that needed him to stay up working so late.
But Gael didn't dare say the last part out loud, even if it was just out of concern. He was scared he'd end up being cannon fodder.
Kellan shot him a cold look without replying.
Gael instantly regretted opening his mouth. He stood stiffly in place, too nervous to walk away.
His legs were shaking so badly he thought he might just collapse. Finally, Kellan said lazily, "You can leave now."
As soon as he heard that, Gael felt like he'd just heard the most beautiful sound in the world. "Then I'll go drive," he quickly said.
Kellan gave a small nod.
It had already been two days since he last saw that woman!
