"Cora, I am your father. Don't listen to her." Kellan was furious, his dark eyes going cold.
His tone was sharp, like he was claiming something that belonged to him.
Cora's expression got a little better at that moment.
Rachel sighed, not understanding what this man was even trying to do. He was acting like a child throwing a tantrum.
There was no way he could be Cora's father.
His face turned dark like coal, and his eyes became cold and proud again.
"You…" Rachel wanted to say something, but when she saw Cora's upset expression and Kellan's dangerous stare, she ended up staying quiet.
"You foolish woman, I said I'm her father, so I am!" Kellan's low and cold voice felt like ice blowing through Rachel's ears.
He didn't bother explaining. He had already said it straight, and yet she still didn't get it. It was honestly frustrating.
His eyes were cold and distant, but in the depths of his dark eyes, there was a strange glint, like he was holding something back.
