Kael stood in the dungeon, thinking: This bastard (William) thinks I can't sense him? He doesn't know I have Echo Sense.
Nearby, William thought: I should leave before he detects me. He prepared to disappear.
Kael noticed: This person is really thinking something…
Kael grabbed the Lich's severed head.
Teleportation!
POOF!
He vanished.
Outside the Dungeon
Hunters were talking:
Hunter 1: "That guy (Kael) is already dead, I guess."
Hunter 2: "No! He was looking at monsters like they were toys!"
William arrived and walked toward George Henry.
Hunter 3: "Hey look! Sir William came!"
Hunter 4 approached William: "Sir, were you in the dungeon?"
William gave a knowing smile to George.
"I have something special to tell you, George… but I'll say it alone."
POOF!
Kael reappeared, blood on his hands, holding the Lich's head.
All hunters gasped, shocked.
Kael walked to George Henry.
"Take this," he said, dropping the Lich head. "Now. Payment."
George smiled nervously. "Of course!"
A hunter whispered to another: "Hey! That hunter survived and cleared the dungeon all by himself? But how?! He's D-Rank!"
George told Kael: "You'll get your payment tomorrow."
William smiled at Kael: "You cleared a A-Rank dungeon all by yourself?"
Kael locked eyes with William—a death stare—and replied with a fake smile:
"Yess."
William grew visibly uncomfortable. "O-Okay, okay…"
Suddenly, Kael vanished.
William spun around, shocked: "Where did he go?!"
George smiled and grabbed William's shoulder.
"Sir, didn't you see? He can teleport."
William calmed himself.
"Yeah, you're right. I guess he saw me in the dungeon. His senses are very sharp… like an SS-Rank hunter."
He smirked at George.
"George… your job is in danger."
George made a funny face and shouted:
"WHAT?!"
William laughed.
Together, they walked back to the guild, followed by the hunters.
