The doors to the private sitting room closed with a soft, deliberate click.

Madam Yeon stood at the head of the table, her posture impeccable, hands folded lightly in front of her as if nothing in the world could ever unsettle her. The room was bathed in warm light, expensive and calm, but the air inside it was anything but.

Chairman Yeon stood beside her, silent, his expression unreadable.

Across from them sat Jang Geum, Minho's father, arms crossed tightly over his chest, impatience radiating from every line of his body. Beside him, Vivian's father sat upright, his face composed, eyes sharp with calculation.

For a moment, no one spoke.

Then Madam Yeon broke the silence.

"You all saw it," she said evenly.

No name was mentioned.

None was needed.

Chairman Yeon exhaled slowly. "Junpyo held her hand," he said, his voice low. "In front of everyone."

Jang Geum scoffed. "Not just him," he added harshly. "My son nearly destroyed his future today because of that same girl."

Vivian's father's lips pressed into a thin line. "Obsession," he said calmly. "That is what this is becoming."

Madam Yeon's eyes hardened.

"Our children are not foolish," she replied. "They are emotional. That makes them dangerous to themselves."

She turned slightly, her gaze distant now. "Bobae has become a problem."

No one argued.

"She has disrupted order," Chairman Yeon continued. "Within the estate. Within the families. Within the future we have been building."

Jang Geum leaned forward. "She is a maid," he said bluntly. "A debt collateral. This situation should never have escalated to this point."

"But it has," Madam Yeon said coolly. "And now she will sits in this house with Junpyo watching her every breath."

Vivian's father shifted in his seat. "We cannot confront this directly," he said after a pause. "If we move too harshly, Junpyo will notice.

"And Minho is already volatile," Jang Geum added. "Any sudden action will push him further."

Madam Yeon nodded slowly. "Which is why we will do nothing," she said.

They all looked at her.

"Not openly," she clarified. "We will treat her well. Better than well."

Chairman Yeon glanced at her sharply. "You want to pretend."

"I want to observe," Madam Yeon corrected. "If Junpyo believes she is safe, his guard will lower. If he believes we accept her presence, he will stop fighting."

"And then," Jang Geum said darkly, "we remove her quietly."

Madam Yeon's lips curved faintly. "Precisely."

Vivian's father tapped his fingers once on the armrest. "She must leave on her own," he said. "No force. No trace. No sympathy."

"She is already afraid," Madam Yeon replied. "Fear makes people retreat if you apply it gently enough."

A pause.

"Before this becomes irreversible," Chairman Yeon added quietly.

Madam Yeon straightened. "For now, we smile," she said.

She glanced toward the door. "After that… we plan."

The main hall buzzed with renewed politeness as introductions resumed.

Names were exchanged. Glasses lifted. Laughter carefully measured.

Junpyo stood beside Vivian his presence close but restrained. He answered questions politely, his mind already elsewhere.

When the final pleasantries concluded, he rose.

"If you'll excuse me," he said calmly. "I need to step away."

Madam Yeon inclined her head. "Of course."

He had taken barely two steps when a hand closed around Junpyo's wrist.

"Junpyo."

Vivian.

Her smile was still in place, flawless to anyone watching, but her grip was firm.

"May I see you for a moment?" she asked sweetly.

Junpyo hesitated.

Then he followed her.

She pulled him into a quiet corner near the tall windows, out of direct view but not entirely hidden.

The moment they were alone, her smile vanished.

"What do you think you're doing?" Vivian asked in a low voice.

Junpyo's expression hardened. "Let go of my hand."

She did not.

"You brought her back," Vivian continued, her composure cracking just enough to reveal the fury beneath. "You walked into this house holding her like she belonged here."

"She does," Junpyo said without hesitation.

Vivian laughed softly, bitterly. "Don't insult me," she said. "You know exactly what this house does to people like her."

"I know what it does when people allow it," he replied coldly.

Her eyes flashed. "You're destroying everything," she whispered fiercely. "Your parents. Your future. Us."

"There is no us," Junpyo said.

The words landed like a slap.

Vivian recoiled slightly, shock flickering across her face before pride rushed in to cover it.

"You think this ends well?" she asked quietly. "You think they'll let her stay?"

Junpyo leaned closer. "I don't care what they let," he said. "I care what I protect."

Vivian stared at him, breathing uneven now.

"She will ruin you," she said. "And when she does, I won't be here to pick up the pieces."

Junpyo stepped back. "You never were."

Her jaw tightened.

"Go," she said, voice trembling with restrained emotion. "Go play savior."

Junpyo turned without another word and walked away.

Vivian remained there, alone, staring at his retreating back.

Her hands curled slowly into fists.

Behind her calm exterior, something decisive settled into place.

If Bobae would not leave on her own

Then someone would make sure she did.
