Chapter 40 - Chapter 39 : Abandoned??

On the back of the strange bird.

Inori's spirit had returned to her body, and she said happily, "Sister Hikari, Raizen, we are out of danger!"

Uchiha Hikari looked at Inori, then at her younger brother, and immediately understood something.

She sighed and spoke with a scolding tone, "You two, why did you take such a big risk to come here? You acted without telling the village leaders, didn't you? Didn't I already send a message back?"

"Sister!" Uchiha Raizen interrupted her seriously and stood up.

The Azure Dragon Cursed Seal had given him strong healing power, and his injuries had recovered halfway already, so he didn't need Inori's medical help.

"How long do you want to keep me in the dark? Your real intention wasn't to come to the Land of Water, you were forced by Danzo, weren't you!"

Uchiha Hikari was stunned. "Raizen, you..."

"I know everything!" Uchiha Raizen clenched his fist and slowed his voice a little.

"Sister, you're too naive to believe Danzo's promises. You thought if you obeyed his orders and contributed enough to Konoha, he would keep his promise to protect me. That was just wishful thinking!"

"To people like Danzo, the Uchiha are naturally evil and must be destroyed!"

"Our greatest value to him is only our Sharingan!"

Hikari listened blankly. It was the first time she saw Raizen so passionate and rational in his analysis.

Before, Raizen was always gloomy, as if he worried about something every day, and sometimes he would talk to himself for no reason.

As his sister, she was very worried about her brother's condition.

She blocked out all the pressure, whether it was the bank loans or the conflicts between the village and the clan.

She never let her younger brother know and endured everything alone.

But now, she suddenly realized that her brother actually knew everything. He had grown up a long time ago.

"Sis, do you know that from the moment you willingly let Danzo use you, he had already planned the final outcome for us siblings?" Uchiha Raizen's lips curled into a cold smile.

"That is, as soon as the value is used up, he would immediately kill us and take two pairs of Sharingan eyes. Danzo has done this many times!"

"N-No way…" Hikari whispered back instinctively.

"It's true, Sister Hikari," Inori cut in. "The Root ninja sent to assassinate Raizen has already been dealt with by us. That's where we learned the truth. Danzo also sent someone to assassinate Sister Hikari. Looks like you haven't met them yet."

"Danzo already sent someone to kill Raizen?!" Her younger brother was Hikari's biggest bottom line.

She hurriedly grabbed Uchiha Raizen's hand, looking him over carefully to see if he was missing anything.

Raizen held her hand back firmly. "I'm fine. But sister, you really can't be naive anymore. Danzo and the whole Konoha leadership can't be trusted."

Seeing her brother was indeed okay, Hikari breathed a sigh of relief.

But she still had doubts in her heart since not even the other Konoha leaders besides Danzo could be trusted.

After all, she was a Konoha ninja and had been raised with the Will of Fire since childhood.

Uchiha Hikari didn't want her brother to get angry again. She said gently, "From now on, I will always discuss things with you first. Raizen, you have really grown up. Mom and Dad in heaven would surely be comforted."

Uchiha Raizen finally relaxed and smiled.

"That's right, I still haven't explained to you about that beast form from before," he said.

Hikari shook her head slightly and looked around.

"Let's talk about that after we leave the Land of Water. This country is enforcing a cruel blood mist policy that doesn't even spare its own people. Although we haven't stayed here long, I have a strong feeling there is a huge darkness hidden behind this country."

Uchiha Raizen was surprised by his sister's sharp intuition.

As a traveler from another world, he knew well that the one behind the high-pressure blood mist policy causing many tragedies in the Hidden Mist Village was Uchiha Obito.

Obito controlled the Fourth Mizukage and took revenge on the Hidden Mist Village by any means because he wanted to avenge Rin Nohara.

Back then, it was because the Hidden Mist Village was chasing Rin, who had been made into a Jinchuriki of the Three-Tails, that she accidentally died by hitting Kakashi's Chidori.

This was the key reason why Obito turned dark.

Now, Obito, wearing a mask and using the name Uchiha Madara, leads the Akatsuki organization and seeks furious revenge on the Hidden Mist Village. This was not surprising.

Sadly, Obito only learned during the Fourth Great Ninja War that Rin's death actually had little to do with the Hidden Mist Village.

It had all been a plan by the old Madara and White Zetsu from the start.

These thoughts flashed through Uchiha Raizen's mind, and his spirit tightened again.

Although they had escaped from the Hidden Mist elites like Mei Terumi and Mangetsu Hozuki, the Three-Tails Jinchuriki and Obito had not appeared yet, so they had to be careful.

...

On the other side.

Hidan, who had been abandoned by Uchiha Raizen, was still fighting Kisame.

Inside the Mist Hiding Technique, Hidan was being beaten badly by Kisame.

Annoyed, he had to retreat and run out of the range of the Mist Hiding Technique.

He looked towards Uchiha Raizen's direction but found no trace of him, feeling confused.

Uchiha Raizen only asked him to be the bait and never told him the rest of the plan.

Hidan was not included in the retreat plan either.

Anyway, Hidan would not die.

If there was a chance later, someone would come to save him.

Unaware that he had been betrayed, Hidan was actually quite happy.

If Uchiha Raizen was killed by the Mist ninja, no one could use the Five-Direction Dragon Binding Seal to control him anymore.

Then he could regain his freedom and become the devoted follower of Jashin-sama again!

Haha, that outcome wasn't bad after all.

Excited, Hidan asked the chasing Kisame, "Did you kill Lord Raizen?"

Kisame held his giant sword, Samehada, which felt easier and easier to use.

"That Uchiha brother and sister probably aren't dead yet. I just heard they were taken back to the Mist Village by Ao to be questioned by the Mizukage. Why, are you worried about your boss?"

Kisame thought Uchiha Raizen was Hidan's boss, like his own relationship with Fuguki Suikazan.

"He's not dead." Hidan muttered disappointedly.

He knew that man wouldn't die so easily.

The Hidden Mist must have been tricked, especially since there was still a woman who hadn't shown up.

Yes, the Hidden Mist was definitely fooled. That man might already be leaving the Land of Water.

Hidan's mouth twitched as he finally realized that he was the one who got abandoned.

If you're going to abandon me, at least remove my curse mark!

Hidan couldn't help but curse angrily.

Without breaking the Five-Direction Dragon Binding Curse Seal, no matter where he went, he would have to obediently go back to find Uchiha Raizen.

At that moment,

Several Anbu directly under the Mizukage suddenly appeared beside Terumi Mei and the others who were resting.

"Have you caught the Uchiha clan spy who invaded?" asked the Anbu sent by Yagura.

Zabuza answered gloomily, "Wasn't he already sent back to the village? Didn't you meet him on the way?"

The Anbu was surprised, "When was he sent back?"

"Just a few minutes ago." Ameyuri Ringo said strangely. "By the travel time, you shouldn't have missed Ao. Could it be that Ao was slacking off somewhere?"

Hozuki Mangetsu glanced at the not-so-bright Ameyuri Ringo and sighed.

"We might have been tricked again."

"What?" Ameyuri Ringo blinked innocently.

Terumi Mei snapped back to reality, opened her eyes wide, and said, "Ao is suspicious!"

Mangetsu nodded, "Miss Terumi Mei must have sensed it too. That Ao gave off a weird feeling earlier."

Speak of the devil.

Ao, having regained control of his body, ran over from afar, panting and sweating heavily.

"Quick… go get the Mizukage!"
