Chapter 335 - Chapter 139: Let's Collect Pure-blooded Sarkaz

Felix had approached this with a playful attitude—or so he told himself. In truth, he had ulterior motives.

Now that he knew Nymph was of the rare Djall race, his priorities shifted. Rebuilding the Kazdel Mobile City itself was easy, but earning the support of the rare races that once served the Old Court was far more difficult. After all, they had either followed the Sarkaz King or the General Theresis.

Felix, meanwhile, was just an "insidious outsider." In the old days, people would've spat at him just for walking down the street.

So far, the rare races he'd encountered were all extremely valuable.

Banshees, like Logos and the head of Tomorrow's Development's HR department—born with natural supreme oral Arts, capable of feats even other Originium Arts couldn't achieve.

Liches, a race with a tech tree maxed out—flat stat growth, but outstanding in science.

Vampires, born with mastery over blood, clearly suited for combat.

Gargoyles, whom he'd heard about from Ermengarde—adept at manipulating soil and stone. Damn it, that's basically the dream race for construction workers.

All these rare races shared a single trait: low numbers, but exceptional abilities. In other words—they were prime targets for recruitment.

This was why Felix had been tolerating that group of Luna's "relatives" in the city. If he weren't patient enough to wait in hopes that they'd one day grow a conscience and join Tomorrow's Development, he would've kicked them out long ago.

And now another rare race had appeared—Nymph, the Djall.

Hehehe… If he took Nymph's "first time," wouldn't that mean he'd form a special bond with her? And since her parents were also Djall, their race would be influenced as well.

That meant he could potentially win over yet another rare race.

Sigh… For the sake of Kazdel, I'm practically selling my looks.

Honestly, if he went to Higashi right now, he'd be a legendary gigolo—princesses and noble ladies would fall over themselves trying to get a look at him. Truly irresistible. Truly magnificent.

Luna stared speechlessly at the blushing, toe-twisting Nymph and the ever-composed Felix.

If she hadn't experienced the Djall ritual herself, she would've assumed Felix was an absolute scoundrel.

Nymph led them to her place—a single-person apartment. She lived alone despite being underage, though she said the older "sister" next door visited often.

That "sister," however, absolutely refused to let Nymph enter her room.

"Um… please take care of me."

Seated on her soft little bed, Nymph patted the empty space beside her, cheeks flushed red.

"This is NOT right!!" Luna shouted.

Felix watched as Luna automatically took up the role of the resident straight man. He scratched his cheek. "So what's the correct posture then?"

"It's not about posture! It doesn't matter!" Luna muttered. "Though… when I did it with Nymph's mother, we were just lying down together."

Nymph nodded seriously. "Mama told me that when you meet a handsome man, after asking him to share his secrets, you just lie down on the bed together."

"No! That's terrible education!" Luna nearly tore her hair out.

Felix's lips twitched. "So… what exactly do we do? Physical contact? Eye contact?"

Just as he said this, his eyes met Nymph's.

In an instant, the entire world around them vanished. Luna's shouting faded into nothingness.

Darkness surrounded them. Felix looked at Nymph, who appeared to be in a trance.

So this was how the Djall fed.

If they "ate," then where did the "food" come from?

Felix focused, recalling the year he fought beside the Black Knight in Kazimierz. A drop of rain tapped his shoulder. He blinked—he was standing again in that rainy night.

A projector-like ability. Whatever I think, it plays.

Nymph regained awareness, her eyes wide as she studied the scene.

"This is… Brother Felix's memory."

"This is only one part," he said. "There's more I want to show you."

He guided Nymph through many memories:

His battles alongside the Black Knight,

his encounter with Mandragora in Victoria,

the alleys of Lungmen,

the white walls and tall spires of Laterano,

and the layered killing intent hidden within a curtain of rain.

Nymph watched, entranced—almost ravenous.

She could taste every emotion Felix had felt: anxiety, anger, freedom… each memory was like a dish on a lavish royal banquet table, rich with every flavor—sweet, bitter, sour, spicy.

Her mother had once told her:

"The day you meet someone you can open your heart to—that's the day little Nymph grows up."

And now, standing within Felix's memories, she remembered those words clearly.

The surge of emotions hit her like a tidal wave, leaving her breathless. To Nymph, Brother Felix's life felt like a novel that constantly transformed the impossible into the possible — and every page captivated her completely.

Until the moment Felix stepped into Kazdel.

Then, the footage cut off.

Of course, some parts had been skipped or fast-forwarded by Felix himself — like Theresa's section, and that overly suggestive sequence involving Mostima, Lemuen, Mandragora, Senomi, Lemuen, Avdotya, and Susie…

Seriously, that stuff was not for children!

Nymph blinked, and the scene shifted again. It was still the Kazdel mobile city, but Felix immediately recognized it as Kazdel during wartime.

Dirty, rag-covered mercenaries crowded every street and alley. Their hair was unkempt, beards wild. Some struggled to keep themselves upright as they headed toward the Scar Market in hopes of finding a job. Many more simply lay on the ground to conserve their strength.

The viewpoint moved to Nymph. Her neighbors, at least, were friendly enough. Unlike the gang of a dozen Sarkaz mercenaries brawling a few blocks away, they offered her a little comfort and care.

Days passed in that dull, gray world.

Until the day Babel attacked.

Through the small window, Nymph peeked at the street. Felix saw himself, walking side by side with Ace and the others.

Then the Sarkaz King fell.

Nymph hid inside her home, convinced the sky itself was collapsing.

When new ruler arrived, everything changed. Mercenaries regained purpose. Streets were repaired. New residential districts were built. Schools reopened. The city began to breathe again.

Nymph pushed open her window, welcoming the rising sun of a new day. With satisfaction, she set down her pen, tucked her notebook into her bag, and headed out for school.

It was an ordinary Sarkaz life — the anxieties of a young girl slowly melting into comfort and peace. Felix couldn't help but smile.

Then the scene faded into darkness.

Felix blinked and found himself leaning against the sofa, a blanket draped over him. He rubbed his forehead — and a system message popped up before his eyes.

[First Ritual with the Djall triggered]

[Congratulations, you have obtained the talent "Djall Charm."]

"Djall Charm":

Charm rate increase by ×1.5 toward Sarkaz

Charm rate increase by ×1.2 toward all other races

Not bad. Actually, pretty damn strong.

Felix tossed the blanket aside and had just started to stand when he collided head-on with Luna entering the room.

For Luna, the world suddenly brightened.

The warm evening sun slanted through the window, haloing the angelic figure before her. His golden eyes reflected the colors of the entire sky, and the gentle upward curve of his lips plucked at her heartstrings.

For the first time, Luna felt her heartbeat so vividly. The cool, charismatic Pioneer she knew — she could speak with him normally.

But the man standing before her now…

He made it impossible to look away.

His very presence was like a soft, refreshing breeze on the suffering land of Terra.

Luna's face turned visibly pink and then bright red.

"Y-You… why did you suddenly wake up! I was just about to call you…"

Felix found her reaction strange, but then remembered the talent he had just acquired. Everything suddenly made sense.

…Wait. Did gaining an overpowered talent mean he had to, what, interact intimately with different special Sarkaz types?

Felix stroked his chin, considering the possibility.

Logos, don't turn around. I'm your father now.

No. No, that would be way too broken. And honestly? Completely deranged.

Felix rubbed his temples, though a sliver of doubt lingered in his mind. His gaze drifted toward Nymph, sleeping soundly under a blanket.

"How long was I out?"

"A-About ten minutes."

Luna cleared her throat and straightened up.

"This was her first time. She should still be asleep, reliving your memories."

"When she wakes up, because of the memory resonance, she'll likely view you as someone very close."

Just then, a knock came from the door. Luna answered as she walked over.

When the door slid open, a tall woman with long black hair stood there. She wore a formal dress and held a staff in one hand — and a bag of groceries in the other.

"Oh… Luna. I didn't expect you to be here today. You didn't mention it."

She chuckled. But when her eyes landed on the Sankta behind Luna, she paused for a heartbeat.

Then her smile softened even further.

"I didn't expect to meet the Pioneer in person. I've heard stories about you from the chieftain for a long time. Meeting you here… I must be very lucky today."

Felix was certain this was the first time he had ever seen such a striking woman here.

He had to admit — she was very, very Sarkaz.

But the moment she mentioned the chieftain, he subtly furrowed his brows.

Wait a minute. That didn't make any sense. Only the special tribes within the Royal Court even had chieftains. Ordinary Sarkaz didn't have anything like that.

What the hell? Three Sarkaz in a tiny room, and every single one of them had some kind of extraordinary background?

"Qalaiša, you're still the same. Always looking after others."

Luna cleared her throat twice and introduced them.

"You probably don't need me to say his name — this is Felix, the Pioneer. His race is Sankta, the leader of Tomorrow's Development, and technically my superior."

"Pioneer, this is Qalaiša. She's a Nachzehrer, and she holds pretty high status within their royal court."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Felix."

Felix extended his hand for a shake. "If you don't mind, I won't intrude further."

"You took Nymph's first time and then just planned to walk off after patting your clothes clean? You really do live up to the rumors — overflowing with peach blossoms."

Luna stood up for Nymph.

Qalaiša looked startled, glancing back and forth between Felix and the sleeping Nymph.

"Nymph's first time… was with Felix?"

"Yes."

"Oh my, how lovely. Her first time was with a Sankta."

Qalaiša covered her mouth with a gentle laugh.

"This will be an unforgettable memory for little Nymph. She'll probably sleep for a while longer. I'll cook dinner today."

"Really?! Qalaiša, you're cooking? C-Can I help?"

"Honestly, Luna, no sneaking bites."

The two women chatted as they walked into the kitchen.

Felix had intended to leave, but with what Luna said… leaving now really would make him look like a heartless bastard. Their wording definitely carried some misunderstandings, but forming bonds with a special tribe was undeniably valuable.

Don't think in that direction. Felix had zero interest in a young girl who didn't even understand love yet.

What he cared about was the tribe behind Nymph.

Winning the support of unique Sarkaz tribes mattered more than anything.

Before dinner, Nymph slowly woke up. She rubbed her eyes as though she had taken an impossibly long nap.

"Sleepyhead, up you get!"

Luna stood by the window with hands on her hips — looking surprisingly adult for her height.

"If you keep sleeping, you'll be late for school tomorrow."

"Ah, I slept that long? Sorry. Ehehe…"

Nymph swung her pale legs off the bed and hopped down. Her eyes sparkled when she saw Qalaiša.

"Qalaiša-sis, you came too~!"

But when she noticed Felix sitting at the table, a faint blush brushed across her cheeks. She fidgeted with her fingers.

"Brother Felix… so you didn't leave."

Qalaiša cheerfully called Nymph to come eat. Luna sat beside her, helping her with rice. The scene almost looked like a warm, cozy family of three.

But Felix remembered what Luna had told him earlier — both she and Qalaiša had been entrusted by Nymph's parents to look after her.

During dinner, Felix mostly listened as Nymph talked about everything that happened at school. It gave him a rough idea of the curriculum too.

After the meal, Nymph sat at the table to do her homework. Luna washed the dishes. Felix and Qalaiša stepped outside into the cold evening breeze.

"What position does the Nachzehrer Royal Court place itself in?"

Felix looked at the tall, elegant woman beside him. He needed to know how the Nachzehrers saw themselves. They had once followed General Theresis, one of the warlike courts, and had long since parted ways with Theresa.

"We don't intend to involve ourselves in the reconstruction of the Kazdel mobile city, Mr. Pioneer. The chieftain thinks very highly of you. That you can recognize the value of the Undead… no, of Adventurers — it makes him feel ashamed he did not see it first."

Qalaiša smiled softly.

"As for me, it's true that I am a candidate for the Nachzehrer throne. But at the moment, I'm just an ordinary resident living in the mobile city."

"Do you want to take part in shaping the city's future?"

Felix reached out his hand — an invitation.
