Amanda sat uncomfortably on the bench...staring at her watch for the umpteenth time. Her husband was supposed to pick her up an hour ago. But here she was still infront of the hospital, waiting for her husband.
Her prenatal check up at the hospital had been tedious and all she wanted right now was to lie on her bed. Her phone rang.
" WHERE ARE YOU ERIC? My feets hurt "
" l am so sorry honey. The car collided with another and l have to settle the matter. "
" Seriously Eric? Today of all days?"
" l'm sorry baby. Can you take a cab this time? I'll make it up to you later."
Amanda sighed. Trying not to let her hormones get the better of her.
" Ofcourse honey. I'll see you later."
The cut the call with an annoyed huff. She hated taking public transport.
She sat there for a while before standing up on her feet , just as a black jeep up before her. The windows rolled down. Amanda looked in to see a woman in the driver's seat. A very beautiful woman.
" You look abandoned. Want a ride?"
The lady, taking off her large sunglasses, asked. Amanda stood Stunned for a moment. So...beautiful.
" Hello....."
Snapping out of her haze, Amanda quickly nodded despite her caution. Who could possibly resist a ride in a car that cost millions.
She climbed into the passenger seat and the car drove off. The silence in the car was deafening, but not uncomfortable.
" Uhm...l'm Amanda. Amanda Wilson."
" Hanan....Hanan Wilson "
" Oh...what a coincidence. We share the same last name"
Amanda exclaimed excitedly.
" A very beautiful coincidence. Guess it was fate."
" l guess so too"
A comfortable silence hang in the air. Amanda , though excited amd waiting nothing but to touch everything in the car, chose to keep her composure. She didn't want to look like a country bumpkin before this very beautiful, elegant and obviously rich lady.
She gave her adress to Hanan and soon, they were pulling up infront of her house.
" Nice house"
Hanan commented, gazing at the beautiful duplex with trimmed garden. Definitely a house for a happy family.
Amanda laughed.
" Thank you. And Thank you so much for the ride. My husband was supposed to pick me up but he had some issues."
" You are welcome. I was just helping a fellow woman. You look like a nice person. Would you mind if we hand out more?"
" Ofcourse."
Amanda smiled widely. She was more than happy to. She couldn't wait to brag to her friends about befriending this very rich woman.
They exchanged contacts before Hanan drove away.
